Couldn’t you just pull the fuse before the inspection.... “sorry, those lights are just for show”

Negative. VA and I’m sure other states have administrative code that requires all mounted lights to work, or be covered. so, you pull the fuse, they flunk you for non working light. You put the fuse in, the flunk you for a non DOT/SAE certified light.

The people who come up with these rules have literally nothing better to do with their time but crafting these rules to impose upon society.

Living in PA too, I can empathize with your situation. In my younger days, I used to run large Hellas on the front of my Jeep. I was always able to work around the inspection and still do with window tint. (I've tinted my front windows to match the rear which in PA is technically a fail). The spot lights would get me pulled over in the past by the police (on rare occasion) but they were much more obtrusive than the modern day lights similar to the OP. Question is, has anyone been pulled over or cited in PA (or similar state) for running the corner light and behind the grille setup mentioned by the OP? Uncovered of course.

Man that sucks! I also live in PA and never had an issue. Have a Fusion sport with window tint too! Just crazy, get mine inspected at the dealership too. Sorry to hear about the issues with your dealer.

Good luck!

I’m in PA and I have to put on those BD covers for inspection. They go on the truck one day a year just for this purpose.

Might want to try John kennedy ford in Jenkintown. I have allot of lights on my Gen 1 and they passed it. I think the service mgr has a Raptor.

@P4SHOCAT I may do that. I bought my subaru from a John Kennedy store. I'm going to do the bd covers and go to the local guy first.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the PA specific feedback.
