Congrats. Your review confirmed my thought that the shifter would be sheet. Stupid to fold down as most will never use the folding 'table'. It just looks cheap.

Seats don't look as good as Gen2 IMHO. Hope the bolster firmness is still there...your soft comment has me concerned. Oh well, I'll see when mine arrives.

Enjoy her.

Aren't the 800a and 801a seats the same? I thought the only different ones were in the 37 package.
No, my 801a seats have suede inserts and more of them. Not too positive in the bolstering comparison because I haven't sat in a 800a package, however, it felt good in my 801a seat, so no complaints there. The bolstering looks different in the pictures too.

If I have to live with a shifter there, I want the workspace. But I think putting the shifter there is stupid, so sign me up for neither. And Ford can keep the push button starter. My wife just had her knee replaced so I'm driving her all over town in her Lezbaru. God I hate that push button starter. F***ing tech. It just sucks. Solutions in search of problems.

Weird that even without the work surface option you get the fold down shifter (which is probably a majority of the cost anyway). I think it tries to be in-between an electronic selector mechanism and analog. I like having an actual shifter but probably could've just done a dial.

Maybe I'm being too critical on the seats, bolsters are OK it's just the back and bottom cushioning that is very soft - and I'm not a big guy. They are comfortable but not sure on the long haul or what they'd look like in 5 years.

A dial would be great. A column shifter would be better. Heck, push buttons like a '62 Chrysler would be better ... The real problem is that lots of customers like that shifter. I guess it makes them feel manly because it looks all manual and everything. Or p h a l l i c. Or something. I'd love to see an actual manual tranny in the Raptor ... now THAT would be manly. LOL

Edit to add profanity. Sort of profanity. In an OCD nanny sort of way ...

First pic I’ve seen of a G3 with a front plate. Actually much better than the G2. Mounted lower and doesn’t require holes at the top of the bumper as well.
