For those saying its the same as BMW putting on M Badges I disagree. M badges are reserved for a level of performance, whereas the Raptor grill just says "FORD" on it. Their XLT is still a Ford so its not saying anything it isn't. If they put "Raptor" badges on it then that would be the same as putting M badges on a 328i.

The DOOD grills are the ones that kill me, as if your going to do it at least put one that says "FORD" on it.

I don't care what anyone else does really, definitely not something I'd personally do...my trucks black on black w/ no decals & a .50 cal antenna, I run stock wheels winter/summer setups, not trying to scream "look at me" I'm more into subtle hint that its a "special" F150 & if "you know" then "you know"....mines also 801a so I have the rough textured plastic for the handles/mirrors, but even if I had an 802a I would prefer those parts over the body colored plastics - so I kinda go out of my way to keep it low key.

I may put a rappy graphics reflective subdued flag on the FORD lettering though simply because my truck is so damn monotone, I would welcome the additional "lighting"/safety it adds, & b/c..... 'Merica

is anyone else getting annoyed of seeing regular f-150's with an aftermarket "F-O-R-D" grill on the front? i've seen too many here in houston.

I said this would be the case years ago but you guys poo-pooed it.

It's very easy to swap a Gen II OEM Raptor grille into a 2015~2017 F150. No, it doesn't fit perfect at the bumper, but it fits. "Imitation is the blah blah" is fine and all, but Ford made it too easy to copy one of the signature features of their halo truck IMO.

I definitely see them around the Denver area... on a variety of vehicles. I'm glad I have the real thing though.

I think back to when I got my first car and wanted to mod it to "look" cooler than it really was... so in the end it doesn't really bother me, people are just working with what they got.

Not as bugged as I am by my damn sunroof mechanism breaking. So, I read online that its a big problem. ****** materials and "you have to use it more" or "apply white lithium grease"! And, some say when the vehicle is out of warranty that the repair is stupid expensive. To me this is absolute BS on a truck or any vehicle that stickers for $70+ K! The online chatter says this happens with Raptors and F150's. The service write told me he has 7 trucks in now for the same and it will be next week before he can get me in; then 2-3 wait. Ford damn sure knows this is a problem and I suppose takes the position that it is too expensive to recall and or they generate revenue when the trucks are out of warranty. Regardless...I'm calling ********* on this one.

If you don't want a broken sunroof, don't buy a vehicle with a sunroof!

There zero chance Ford issues a recall for broken sunroofs. Recalls ONLY happen for safety issues.

If it truly is a widespread issue with defective parts and customers are raising hell, Ford typically creates a "customer satisfaction program" that will fix them for free, including repairs that were customer paid previously, and they will extend the warranty on that particular item. They did that on the Fusions for their transmissions, and a bunch of vehicles for the APIMs there were failing left and right. Keep your receipts just in case they create a program for the sunroofs, they will reimburse you for anything you paid for.
