Question for you electrical experts.

I want to use this switch for the "mode" button in place of the stainless one BD gave me.

Silver Metal Stainless Steel Blue LED Illuminated Momentary Pushbutton Switch 22mm

My question is when I turn on the upfitter that feeds power to the OnX bar I want the blue LED in the momentary switch to come on. Can I tap in to the 12 volt wire that feeds to the relay for this?

Thanks.

there is not a whole lot of info regarding the switch. i dont know if the led only turns on when the button is pushed or if it requires an ignition of some sort. but considering that it is a momentary switch, i dont think it will work for your lights.

Should work to cycle thru your modes. No schematic so can't be 100% but I bet you can get it to light once the aux switch is flipped.

ok, i reread your post a couple of times and then it finally hit me. you already ave a momentary, and you want to replace it. gotcha. yes it will work. but as stated above, you need the connection layout of the switch

Hopefully it will come with more detailed specs. If you look at the picture of the bottom terminals you can see little faint markings on the blue plastic. The two center posts are +/- for the LED power and then I think the outter ones are shorted (looks like arrows pointing at each other) when the button is pressed. Or one pair is shorted when pressed and the other when up? I'll use one pair for the mode/ground connection.

It would make sense. One set of terminals is for normally closed contact, when the switch is at rest and would open when pressed and the other set for normally open contacts and the switch needs to be pressed to close/ complete the circuit. The last set would be for the led circuit which you could just run in parallel from the aux switch.
