It took about 4 years but I'm back after my Gen1 Raptor was totaled:

Here are Pics of my new Raptor Which I picked up about A month ago.

My initial impressions...the Gen2 is FREAKING AWESOME!!! Minus the fact I miss the rumble of the 6.2L

With that said, the Gen2 right off the showroom floor is hands down better than the Gen1. It feels lighter and nimbler and that little 3.5L EB...wow!!! I can't wait for engine mods to come out after the first year of T/E's.

I am struggling with the decision to go with external bypass' as the stock 3.0's are pretty nice although I haven't had the chance to take her out to San Felipe yet...

Welcome back. So what was the final outcome with insurance back in 2013?

Took roughly 3.5 years for the final settlement. After State Farm Paid out for the Raptor $33k+ and the lady who hit me; who btw was on a suspended license carried the bare minimum insurance required by CA law, her insurance paid out $15k and State Farm covered the rest via "under-insured" coverage $85k all of this minus the 30% retainer I paid to the Lawyer. Not sure if it was all worth it after three years of Physical Therapy with no resolution to the pain on C5 (old fracture) which was aggravated by the collision. Granted it's better than zero...

I do have my new GEN2 Raptor though!!! But...I miss the rumbled of the V8 even though performance wise the 6.2L stock doesn't come close to the current set up.

I just picked up an identical truck. My high expectations have been exceeded so far. Magnetic looks awesome with the beadlock wheels.

Yikes. I remember reading your story when it first happened. Always wondered what the outcome was. Sounds like your attorney advised you to stop talking?

Anyway, I wonder what would have happened if you took the same hit in a Gen II instead of in a steel bodied truck? Do you think you would have survived?

His frame wouldn't have bent, I bet he'd still be driving it.
