Mind if I ask what made you choose the ICON vs the RPG bumps?

That's a fair question. The simplest answer is that it started when I decided to put ICON 3.0's on my truck. I wanted the bump kit to match the shocks, and thought it would be most appropriate to use a bump kit that was designed by the same engineer who designed the shocks on my truck knowing there wouldn't be any conflicts in the design.

That's not to say the ICON bump kit wouldn't work with other brand shocks, but that's not my concern nor is it my job to figure it out and convince anyone of it. I spent a fair amount of time speaking with Dylan in person at TRR and exchanged several emails with Dylan in regards to the design. I was also one of the first people to feel this kit in action while riding along with Dylan. Through all of my discussions with Dylan he never mentioned RPG in a negative light or doubted their design but rather explained why he designed the ICON kit the way he did and how it might remedy potential issues or design flaws in his opinion that other kits might have under extreme circumstances. Believe it or not I did scrutinize this purchase and didn't just buy it because of brand loyalty. I even had a lengthy exchange with another member who shared his engineering .02 and his thoughts of the kit.

It got to be, because it matches the Icon shocks he has already installed and I heard he is not much of Surf & Turf eater....

DISCLAIMER: These are only rumors! i have no factual basis for posting these hear-say rumore on here. I just felt the NEED to do so. :drunk:

After doing some research, I am of the mind to do something before the Havoc run. I think if nothing else, this is an inexpensive insurance plan.

Thanks again for the great write-up...nice job "whistling past the graveyard"!
