Will the sdhq frame reinforcement kit for a 100$ help on the 2014 s for any slight g outs, not massive big hits mind you but for a guy that just got a bit over zealous in the mountains?

Are you asking in relation to having the ICON bump kit installed as well or by itself? Definitely not with our bumpkit installed.

@ICONRep I'm still really curious about that other thread that i mentioned previously, if yall aren't ready to release any info publicly would you be willing to pm me about it? I ask because I may have some pending mods that i'd hold off on based on where yall are at on this product.

Stock 2014 truck, just asking if I bought the frame reinforcing kit for 100 bucks if it's worth it because of the reinforced frames the newer Raptors have. I don't pound my Raptor up here in the mountains like the desert guys so I don't need a full bump stop kit, but would it help if I got a few bottoming g outs in the ditches and washes up here.

The frame on your truck is improved over that older issue but not going to hurt considering the price. The bending occurs mainly when you are smashing the bumpstops bottoming out the truck.

Ok I just purchased it from you.

If it helps the stress distribution where does the stress migrate to with your kit?

You would need to talk to SDHQ regarding their frame support.....I was just offering what I know.

My fault, I wasn't paying attention to the post owner, for some reason I thought you were representing SDHQ.

The $100 kit is better than nothing and if that is all you want to spend then the best option out there. I ordered the $100 one too and once I got it, I quickly decided that I wanted a bumpstop instead. Never installed it and sold it. Didn't get the ICON one unfortunately as it definitely is one of the best ones out there. You cannot use the SDHQ one with a bumpstop, you will have to remove it as it uses the same holes and is in the way.

Thanks, I just emailed them and asked if it will still help mitigate a bad hit on the new raptors and where will the stress migrate to with the kit installed. I just can't afford a bumpstop kit right now and I'll take it easy on my rig until I can but I wanted some protection.
