I have a chance to purchase a used set of icon 2.5 shocks. Are these shocks a worth while upgrade from the stock shocks. I use the truck mostly for hunting and dirt roading. I am on mid perch with the progressive springs and 37 inch tires. THANKS

Stock shocks are 2.5". ICON doesn't make 2.5 shocks for the Raptor currently, but I think they prototyped some early in the game. If they are 3.0s, they will be a vast improvement over the factory shocks in every way, and on-road ride is much nicer. No more shuddering or sloppiness like the stock Foxs have. If you can get a good deal on the 3.0s, jump on it.

Icon actually did make 2.5s to begin with, people were installing them for more adjustability I think. They may have been discontinued though.

I'd say they'd probably perform a little better but I'd go all the way to 3.0 if you're going to spend the money.

We made a few sets of 2.5" shocks pushing 2-3 years ago now.....this was well before the ICON 3.0 shock came about. We did this for SDHQ right when the truck came out.

Here is the actual OE spring rate test results from our 2011 Supercrew as tested by Eibach who manufactures many of the springs used. We currently use a 675lb spring and that is a negligible 5% difference.
