My 2020 warranty expires in July. I’ve been looking at gen3 raptors and yes I know, updated tech, rear coils, big *** infotainment screen…
I want to like them…
They just don’t make my undies wiggle. I don’t like the plain straight tailgate appliqué. I don’t like the decals on the 3rd gen’s (any of them). I hate orange, everything is stitched in orange. Why? There is no engine upgrade…it’s just a facelift, not a new gen.
Last of all I just don’t think they look as tough as a gen 2.

Other than $85k for a truck with no tonneau and no rear inner fender liners, what is keeping u guys in your gen 2.

To be honest, I like my gen 2 cause it's paid for. I will eventually start putting lots of money into it (engine swap-5.0 supercharged or 7.3 megaZilla 2.0, fortified transmission, rear suspension upgrades) Side question. What are those lights in your bumper?

I really liked my Gen 2, but my Gen 3 was quite an improvement. But, if the Gen 3 does not do it for you, then no issue staying in the Gen 2. No orange stitching in mine and while the engine is advertised as the same, it definitely does not feel the same. I'm also a fan of the wireless carplay, being able to adjust steering feel/exhaust modes/shock dampening

I'm on the same boat, I only have 42700 on the odometer and most of my warranty left. Recent new tires, getting my shocks serviced in April. Everything works perfectly. Really like the 24's. the 21-23 look okay but feel the styling is a little bland. The 24's look much better in my opinion. Think I'll wait for the Gen 4 and see what they come up with. If I do buy another, likely looking at the used market. Not feeling what Ford is doing as far as removing features/options and feel it's only going to get worse.
