That and the rotory gear selector were deal killers for me.

I see this over and over. Why do people hate the rotary gear selector so much? It's all electronic now so a "real shifter" just looks that way- it's sending the same 0s and 1s to the transmission computer that a rotary knob would, or push buttons, or touch screen or whatever. There's no linkage, no cables. I don't mind having a "real shifter" as a place to rest my hand, but otherwise, I'm fine with any type of alternative selector if it's reasonably functional.

I see it a lot as well. To me it just doesn't look or feel right. A co-worker has a new dodge and I went to move it one day, I couldn't stand it.

I'm used to it already. It saves space and is a smart idea.
I kept putting in the wrong direction. And nowhere to rest my hand. Nothing wrong with it. It does save space. Just a drastic departure from what most folks are used to. A push button would be more intuative...and Chyster had one before.

And there's that guy.

Don't be that guy.

You know good and well the line of thought of this post. You bitch about what a waste this thread is yet you are the one wasting the time and effort to make a ****** reply. Buzz off if you dont like it.

No, I really don’t understand “the thought of this post.” You are obviously aware of Forscan which can knock a out about half your whining. You state the rest of the truck brands are ugly, less powerful, etc. None of the issues you are whining about are new—they were all there when you signed the paperwork to buy it.

So what is the thought behind the creation of this post? To connect with a stranger on the internet who has the same issues as you? You want us to convince you to change your mind on your trucks perceived shortcomings?

I will reiterate the thought of my response to your original post. You don’t like your Raptor, then sell it. Why do you need the internet to help you make a decision, snowflake?

rrrrrufff ruff ruff the little grouchy chihuahua comes back again to bark at me. Seriously move along little man. This is for folks who might of had similar buyers remorse and have something constructive to say. It also strayed into interesting perspectives of the rotary shifter. Either way everyone is having a mature adult discussion and you are ******** on it with contempt.

Cool story, bro.

Why whine about it on a forum? Are you looking for a support group? A place to sit around in a circle and bitch about a voluntary purchased truck? You want us to convince you to keep it? Sell it and move on!

Sorry, I completely agree. Why would you post on a Raptor forum that the truck is not worth the money. This forum has not only people that bought the truck (either thought the price was OK or justified it somehow) and most have spent even more money on it willingly. If you want sympathy, then gee I am sorry for you. You say you are not a troll, but that is what comes to my mind. You know how to fix the problems so go do it, or trade it in. You are the one wasting our time. Yes, I know I didn't have to read this tread, and I probably won't again.

So now you can call me names.

Here is where your rebuttal is flawed. Not all the Raptors have these issues. I realize you had issues. Not discounting that one bit. But I will guarantee you there are many times more Raptors with no issues that ones with. And if you look deeper many threads have been started here by TROLLS bashing the Raptor. Like the old Eagles song "Dirty Laundry" alludes, that's what gets the attention.

Sam

I’m not the op... and I didn’t describe any one-off issues that I have experience with my Raptor.

I described a lack of refinement that ALL Raptors and F150s have... and a reoccurring them where some buyers have remorse paying $75k for this level of refinement.

Dude... if we all went with the approach you are spouting, then this forum is done. All topics have been discussed and no one else can offer a different perspective on them.

It’s like saying... “why do we need a 200 page thread on Cold Air Intakes (substitute any thread title)... if you want a CAI just go buy one, if you don’t like them, don’t”.

Gotta take the good with the bad. This forum is for anyone with interest in a Raptor. That includes prospective, current, and former owners.

If some people aren’t happy with the Raptor and share their perspectives... that gives perspective owners something to consider before dropping $75k, and it gives current owners the chance to understand what they may not be aware of.
