I'm keeping my '20. The rear suspension on the Gen 3 gives me pause for thought but the rest of the package isn't enough of a game changer for me to ditch the '20.

I could see for the Gen 1 guys or even 17-18 Gen 2's it'd be a nice upgrade but the delta between an 802a '19-20 and a Gen 3 isn't enough for me to make the swap.

Why would you ditch a brand new vehicle? Keep your 2020, and trade it in much later when you want an upgrade.

The only reason to consider giving it up is for economics (it’s a sellers market for used cars).

Better riding suspension and much better interior. Who cares what it looks like on the outside, you’ll be inside when you’re driving it…

Have any of you done a build on fords website and did it side by side with 2 windows open on your computer? I was so excited when I called my dealer and he gave me my BB value. I was going to purchase a 2021. The more I do a side by side build I'm liking the lines on the 2020 better. The 2021 fenders have straighter lines, Lights look square in front and rear, The tailegate Ford emblem is square. Door handles. Front fender intake looks smaller. Bulky marker lights in the fenders. The 2020 just flows better in my opinion. It seems like they made everything boxey on the 2021..lol. Just a bunch of small things that Ford could have done better. The standard graphics are Orange! Why only orange. If you want the nicer upgraded wheels you have to order the 37 package, but then it comes with blue interior?? Shifter looks funky. Man I almost pulled the trigger, but I think these small things will bother me down the road. This is just my opinion.... What are your guys thoughts? Below is the 2020 built like mine then the 2021.

2 biggest problems with the 14 Gen F150/ Gen 3 Raptor are the shifter and the mirrors. The shifter doesn't feel quality at all and with its built in fold down mode I see it breaking in no time. As for the mirrors I constantly found myself looking down into them, just an odd/ uncomfortable position since their not nearly as tall on the Gen 1/ 2 Raptors.

Get the 2021, it looks better than a Gen 2 as Ford finally figured out the Gen 1 was so cool that they built the Gen 3 off of it's looks. Just look at the tail lights and paneling front and rear, if they offered a scab and a v8 I would jump ship easily. For $8 a month, don't jump, f'n run and leap over there and order it.

C'mon now. You know that 80% of the Raptor's styling is done so that it can share parts with the regular F150 where possible. If the f150 had taillights in the shame of a pentagon, that's exactly what the Raptor would do. Perhaps Ford want the Gen 14 to borrow styling from the Gen 12...but that's as far as it goes.

I am thanking you for the side by side pic! I never did it and I've loved the look of the Gen2s soo much. Your side by side confirmed (to me) that the Gen3 is the way to go!
