I think I really like my 2020 better

I like the front end on my '18 better than the '21. Hopefully, once my '21 arrives, I will find more than enough not to miss the '18.

Get the 2021, it looks better than a Gen 2 as Ford finally figured out the Gen 1 was so cool that they built the Gen 3 off of it's looks. Just look at the tail lights and paneling front and rear, if they offered a scab and a v8 I would jump ship easily. For $8 a month, don't jump, f'n run and leap over there and order it.

You hit the nail on the head. I was gonna mention the same seeing how they reverted to some Gen 1 features.

Have any of you done a build on fords website and did it side by side with 2 windows open on your computer? I was so excited when I called my dealer and he gave me my BB value. I was going to purchase a 2021. The more I do a side by side build I'm liking the lines on the 2020 better. The 2021 fenders have straighter lines, Lights look square in front and rear, The tailegate Ford emblem is square. Door handles. Front fender intake looks smaller. Bulky marker lights in the fenders. The 2020 just flows better in my opinion. It seems like they made everything boxey on the 2021..lol. Just a bunch of small things that Ford could have done better. The standard graphics are Orange! Why only orange. If you want the nicer upgraded wheels you have to order the 37 package, but then it comes with blue interior?? Shifter looks funky. Man I almost pulled the trigger, but I think these small things will bother me down the road. This is just my opinion.... What are your guys thoughts? Below is the 2020 built like mine then the 2021.

I completely agree with your assessment, all very good points and thanks for sharing the side-by-side comparison. I still think think I’ll be in line to purchase the R, I miss my Gen1 Roush SC V-8

I’ve ordered a 2021 with a 37 package to replace my 2018.

The 21 has a far better interior and looks better to me on the exterior as well. The lines are cleaner and I’m curious how the new suspension will perform.

If you’re happy with your Gen 2 there’s no need to justify it to yourself. I have over 80K miles on my 2018 and absolutely love the truck but for me it’s time.

The 18 suspension is night and day compared to the 20 so I would have done the same thing. if I owned a 20, I am not moving up to the 21 cause all the problems with the last gen were fixed by 2020. 21 is a better truck with a lot of improvements, coil springs are really the key change for me.

If I owned a 20, I wouldn't buy the 21. like anything, they both have their plusses and minuses. you have a truck that cost much less and you got a lot of great benefits. I don't own one now so I have no choice but to go 21. I am looking forward to it but I am not thinking about it too much given the post pandemic supply crunch. No graphics for me, the 20 is nice but the 21 is just in your face with that white 37 right there. a bit much.
