I see very few SCab Raptors vs. SCrews

I've owned both. The major problems with the scabs were when you had anyone in the back seat that wanted to get out, you had to unbuckle your seatbelt, open your door, so they can open their back door, to exit. Also you need to have both doors open to retrieve anything out of the back. Pain in the butt! With the Scab no such issues. Plus, me personally, I do a lot of competition shooting and need the extra room in the back for my gear.

Hard to beat the practicality of a SCREW but I definitely prefer the look of the SCAB.

I have heard of frame issues with screws . Gen 1 mostly , scabs are better off road. The difference between scab with a 6.5 bed and scab with a 5.5 bed is night and day. Way easier to park as well .

Hell, in the greater Austin area, I've seen one other SCAB, and it had a Colorado plate! It's nice to be different!

SCABs are definitely a rare breed. I see multiple Raptors every day, but I've only seen a single SCAB on the road in two years.

what are you talking about Willis? Both Screws and Scabs have the same bed length >> 5' 6".

I do like the look of the SCab a little better. It is more Sporty looking and I am sure it is better off road than the SCrew because of the shorter wheelbase. However, the availability of the dual panel moonroof, the rear seat room and convenience of having 4 doors opening traditionally were all important to me so it sold me on the SCrew. Besides this truck will more than likely never see off road duty. It all depends on your needs which model to buy! They are both great and have their advantages and disadvantages.

The only way I would own a scab is knowing that I would never have anyone in the back seat. The suicide doors are just not functional. Tundra and Chevy has a reg door on their scabs.

In a perfect world you would have both a screw and scab in the driveway.

And frankly the primary reason I wound up with a Raptor...only trim level where you can buy this body configuration (SCAB+5.5’ bed).

I really wanted one of the new turbodiesel F150s to build a hypermileing (1K+ mile range) off road adventure/overland truck, but “settled” on a Raptor.

Still adjusting to 15mpg or less...and having a lot of fun with this motor and suspension in the process!

I've seen a gen 1 on the road and an 18 at my dealer being picked up the day I ordered mine. I've seen a surprising number of SCREWS around town.
