I'd rather be Screwed than Scabbed.

Bold statement rite there! I rather be scabbed all day than getting screwed. Ha!

Ecoboost screw= true family truck in my eyes!

Jokes aside- both are great trucks. Not to mention the sporty look. My main reason for scab is I rather the extra power having the lesser weight. Also a tad better gas mileage (for now, :) ). After owning an screw power stroke, the extra cab space just wasn't occupied ever, besides junk and neither was my screw Harley. Both were a pita to clean. After having a scab, my kids ONE DAY, will be able to fit no probs. Not to mention, while driving my Godchild around last week ...... I can actually reach him in the back to give the little man hi-fives, while in his car seat too! WIN! This also made us realize that kids will need to be reached at one time or another and it'll be beneficial for that lesser room in our eyes. I know a lot of women become a huge deciding factor to vehicle purchases these days and most will not agree to a $50k+ scab so screws are becoming more and more popular. I'm happy the raptor community is growing.
To say you would have saved enough to go full rpg/scab is out the question. If I was to do things over, I would've told the banks the truck was $75k and shipped the truck straight to Rpg for some modding. It sure is nice having a paid off truck the route I taken this past year though. ;)

But buying a Raptor shouldn't be about the money. If people are thinking about buckles and dimes, they should get an FX2.

I just like the way 4 doors look and are more practical

It was never about the money, my intention when buying came down to like 3 choices…

Door #1: Raptor + Bike
Door #2: Audi RS5
Door #3: Nissan GTR…

To be perfectly honest, the only reason I went with the Raptor is because I would have to wait too long for the RS5, and the S5s had already moved to the 6 cylinders… I don't regret it, in fact the Raptor has been way more useful than any of the others could be, especially when it came to moving both to VA from Colorado then to Cali from VA…

Now, I'm tired of the bike, I love it to death - but there is a chance it will kill me, based on a couple experiences I just had, ******* retarded California drivers… anyway… Chris Ross is proof a SCREW can be badass. I'm keeping it till the wheels fall of.

I can afford a 40k rig but thats about it .. Minus the rebates you dont get it was the same price as the FX4 screw i was gonna order.. Make up for that on resale value alone

Scab all the way!!!!

I'm old, grouchy and have had it up to my ass in practical all my life. I didn't want a family truck, I wanted a bad ass truck to relive a few wild days of my youth. I ran hot cars for 30 years (2 door hardtop)...then got married and that says it all. I wanted a real V8 racing type engine with power and not a rice eater. Call it a bucket truck or a casket, they can bury me in it but until they do... I'm going to put the hammer down.

Hey, the first 65 years of my youth were the hardest......................................

If you don't need the backseats, DON"T get a SCAB! I have had both and other than putting crap in the back seat for a trip it was worthless to me. And you can still put a lot of stuff in the backseat of a SCREW.

Larger fuel tank - no big deal to me. I have to stop to pee before my "smaller" tank gets empty anyway.

Shorter wheel base/turning radius - awesome when off road or even parking around town.

Being a bit short in the tooth like Sage, a SCREW does not look as cool to me as a shorter truck. We grew up when a regular cab was the only truck you could get. Even after owning a SCREW I never could get used to it's look.

But if you are hauling more than 2 people very often, you will want.

Resale - I don't buy that a SCAB will be harder to sell. There is a market for both. While a SCREW may appeal to some people, it won't to others.
