I really hate it when new car dealers had a bunch of crap on that I don’t need or want

HELL I ZONA
I didn't pay for any of that crap , I told them i will let the nitrogen out of the tires and refill with my power tank . The air your breathing right now is 80 % nitrogen . SCAM. They removed it from the price LOL . Paint sealant also , i told them i 'm not driving up 60 miles away to get my truck waxed. You Just have to tell them your not paying for it. So what if they get mad you will never see them again. Also with extended warranty tried selling me a 3rd party warranty , no way i told them i deal with manufactures only and then i pulled out flood Ford prices. Guy sat there for about 30 seconds looking at prices and said yeah they are pissing people off as in (dealers). LOL you have to go there and prepare for a long drawn out battle. Your the one that is going to save in the end.

Tell them you don’t want it and have them take it off the vehicle. If there is something more trouble than its worth, they will probably leave it on but take it off the price. I dislike tint, if they had that on, I would demand they take it off.

If they do not, its all part of the negotiations, walk if they do not.

Peoria Ford in Phoenix does this. Their standard add-on dealer package is $3000 worth of crap. Which of course you don’t find out until you get there to look at a truck.

Zebart. Just an under coating, much cheaper to do yourself.
Chromage- wtf is this?
Doc fees- never paid by me
Market adjustment- applies in "high demand" areas. No thanks, I'll drive a couple hours to save 5-6k.
Acid etching- supposedly for theft recovery

And they wonder why people distrust car salesman?

What else have have you seen added that annoys you?

When I bought my 2015 Mustang GT......I went to the dealer based on the web site inventory. Told them i wanted stock #xyz123. When they pulled it around, it just had the windows tinted (good), undercoat (meh), and rally stripes (yuck) added.

They wanted $1,500 for the extras. This is when the Gen 6 mustang just came out, and they were hot.

I make a big deal about the "stickers" they added to a beautiful car. The ended up being cool since I came with a printed price from their web site with the car before they added that nonsense. They gave me the price as advertised and ate the $1,500 add ons. Which in reality cost them about $300.

I was happy. got the car i wanted. i would have tinted the windows anyway, and ended up removing the stickers a week later.

“Window etching” the Vin is popular with the stealers around here. What a load of crap. Of course I ordered mine to avoid these scams.

That's why there is a thing called; Ordering a vehicle.

They still tack all that on. He's not talking about option packages. He's talking about lifetime paint sealants and fabric protection and blah blah. Same BS they've been doing forever.

OP, you forgot window VIN etching. Seen that BS a bunch of times. Nope, I ain't paying you $300 so you can pay some teenager $5 to damage the windows on my vehicle.

I hate when the stealers have an advertised/marked down price, then when there's an interest shown, its back to MSRP. Recently I had a quoted price in hand that was ultimately turned away when trying to purchase the following day. Their reasoning was "We're not making any money".. not my problem dude. Don't advertise/quote me at that price! Then the jack ass proceeded to tell me "you're lucky this thing inst marked up $10k over msrp". This was Auto Serv in Tilton NH.
