Just for BS sake you mentioned USAA, from North East Florida and being on the 5 in San Dog. Military? I'm from North West Florida, was stationed in San Diego on Minesweeps and obviously have USAA.

Yeah, I've learned my lesson here.

Minor Update: Upon initial inspection Ford has found nothing wrong with the motor. They've performed compression testing (0% loss), bore scope (no visual indication of damage), and an inspection of the oil that was left. The next step is to disassemble the oil filter Valvoline used to look for metal debris, perform an oil change, drive 40 miles, and disassemble the Ford OEM Oil Filter to check for metal debris (As well as the visually inspect the oil coming out of the motor). If nothing is found they believe they can give it a clean bill of health. Do I demand an inspection of rod bearings / underside of the motor.

Mossy Ford guarantees that they've put their most experienced and thorough mechanic on it and are looking to find problems. According to their Tech I must have stopped the motor at just the right time to prevent damage before the oil was lost. (Total on time from indication to motor off was within 10 seconds if I recall correctly.)

@FordTechOne
Soooo, is either Mossy Ford or Valvoline going to guarantee the engine to 300,000 miles?
If your engine let's go in let's say 100k, the million dollar question is, would it have went 200k if this incident didn't happen? They owe you an engine, or a guarantee.

@FordTechOne -- I'm curious too. If they find nothing, and it's just clear oil, does your expert opinion think it's good, or should I really push for a rod bearing check?
Rod bearings would be a good check, along with cam journals. When the top end is starved of oil the cam journals will be scored up.

However, I think @Old-Raptor-guy summed it up well. There’s just too many possibilities for unseen internal damage to be able to make a definitive call as to whether it’s “ok” or not.

Thanks for the advice, I'll make that assertion on Monday, I don't know how I get that in writing, but I can try.

@Shane361 Yessir!
You could also drive 40 miles, and then get the oil sample sent out for wear metals . Definitively you will know ppm rates of said bearing material. Thats pretty hard to argue if wear metals are 4x what they would be . Then you have more leverage.

I can and will request this.

Also, extended warranty is not a bad idea. @GordoJay I'll request that too.

This whole time has been a debacle. Thanks for everyone's advice. I know it was a dumb decision to use a chain shop but this has been awful. Hopefully this stands as evidence for everyone.

You may want to draw and send the oil sample in to Blackstone Laboratories yourself, just a thought
