Damn whipple don’t play with their packaging and this thing is big.
I’ve wasted a bazillion dollars on cars and go fast junk in my life but for some reason this one is making me all excited like a lil kid at Xmas.
So stupid of me not doing this last year when I knew I wasn’t getting the gen 2.

I can tell you exactly why you responded! simple fact is you are safe at home behind your screen. thats the only reason you responded to me.

functioning brains LMAO your a sheep thats why you did it.
ill bet your life there are more trucks with out the gears just fine than there are trucks that blew cuz of it.
since you are all over JDMs nuts how about you ask him how many trucks he has built that did not change gears and are still ripping the streets. then ask him how many times trucks HE built and tuned blew gears.
dont be scared post the reply.

do what you want with your money but stay the **** out of my threads with your fake tuff guy talk about shit you know nothing about. Me I will run MY truck if it blows I will find out why and fix it. Im not gonna follow others like a sheep and not even know why. not one person has gave me any real reason why the gears blow. MY installer gave me the most logic reason and thats it.

I would say 7 out of 10 trucks we install Superchargers on don't opt for the Oil pump gears due to cost of part and labor (1 day ~$1000 + $390 for the gears = almost $1500 after taxes.) However I can only think of about 4-5 trucks that have had the failure over our 6 years of Supercharging 6.2L Raptor trucks. But if you are part of that small failure rate it's a very expensive repair so I always recommend them but is it 100% necessary, No.

I blew the oil pump gears on my 2006 Mustang that I used to drag race so I have personal experience with the issue. All GT500 engines and higher powered Coyotes we build get them as standard issue.

The gears shatter due to extreme RPM (not a problem for the raptor) and Shock. You can shock the gears under a hard launch or wheel hop. Also from hitting the rev limiter too hard.

:snoopfacepalm:

Save $2000+/-, lose 100 RWHP, higher intake temps because the compressor is maxed out.
Yeah, that sound like a great deal.

I've used TVS(eaton), KB and whipple blowers in the past on different applications, from trucks to cars. All have been fine for me, in this Florida heat. Sans the KB, which have all leaked in a short order of time. Never will buy one again for any application.

Not planning to try to squeeze every HP out of this engine/truck, so possibly losing potentially 100rwhp doesn't mean that much to me. 330rwhp at times can put you in some oh shit moments while offroading in certain terrain. ~500rwhp will be a fun&scary challenge/learning curve. I've been out on all day trail/offroading events with guys with whipple and roush superchargers. I was impressed by both. The guy with the roush never had to let off due to overheating/hearing detonation fwiw.

If I want to build a high horsepower, squeeze every HP out of the vehicle, I'll add another GT500 in a few years.

Sorry I let you down lol

that is a super small number of failures on a huge amount of trucks that do this upgrade. im going to guess its probably because you know how to tune the trucks proper. my dealership although not huge has never heard of that on a raptor either.
I am also gonna guess the Mustang blew because you were pushing the limits as far as you could. as you should in a drag car.

im not going to lie if it happens to me I will build it bigger and better I wont like it but that's easily a chance I will take. my installer is like you guys he builds race cars he would love to build a race raptor I am sure, lol

sorry I didn't mean to drag you into this as you already replied to me before with this same exact info other than you added the rev limiter this time but I wanted the retard to ask you himself.
what I am looking forward to is the new build you are doing with the gen 3 upgrade. this is the first gen 3 I have seen or heard about

I already knew all this, I researched it all at great length before my truck was built. All of this was also previously explained to you by myself and many others in this very thread, you were just too stupid to read or remember any of it. :mwah1:

Actually, the best part of this is watching you learn and grow. Dumb as you are, you have finally shown that you are in fact capable of learning (albeit very, very slowly) and I am happy to have been able to contribute to your education. We'll start working on your ****** personality next. Baby steps. :baby:

is this your attempt at saying I am right and your a retard? seems like it. I agree I know nothing about this truck cuz I didn't need to. know that I need to I am learning instead of just following like you do. you are a sheep period.
I will never follow blindly for anything if that makes me unpopular so be it im not the heard type anyways. but you go ahead with that

You know, when you are attempting to disparage the intelligence of others, it's best to know the basics of the English language, otherwise you just look dumb or, in your case, continue to look dumb. And you've really done a lot of looking dumb in this forum.

And no, you are definitely not a sheep. You're more like a squirrel on crack. You are easily one of the biggest scatterbrains I have ever encountered.

But with time and patience, you can do better. And we're here to help.

You're welcome.

Hey, I'm ok with your choice anything is better than a NA 6.2L
To be honest though I thought it was RocketW19 when I read your post.
The numbers thing you guys got at the end of your screen name threw me off.

Without knowing what the two Raptors exact mods were and what fuel they were running, plus how did each driver ran their truck,
that is going to be pretty hard to make an assumption either way.

There are all kinds of upgrades for both Whipple and Roush.
And many different Tunes.

Roush uses two HE for there upgrade.
Whipple has had three different HE setups.

Injectors play a roll in detonation, do we know what Whipple was running.
The 47 lbs. really cannot keep up with cooling and wetting the cylinder wall down at that power level.
This is one of the reasons why Whipple changed to a new 60 lbs. injector for their Stage II

I'm interested to see what JDM is going do with the 78 lbs. injector on MetroNYC's truck.
