I don't remember where I seen it, but I remember 2 other posts on a forum from guys with very early production Raptor's, stating thiers only had two positions and not three. Don't know how true this is but I do remeber reading it.

I seem to recall something similar, but it still wouldn't make sense cuz my truck is a 2011. However, the fact they were closing at 3 yesterday may have made em half ass it and not pull the shock completely apart. Looks like I'm gonna b makin a few calls to make sure that Ford didn't have a batch w just two.

Can you not see how many groves there are without taking the shock off? Just curious as I've never gotten that close to a rap

I bet you have a 3rd groove. Never heard/seen of a Raptor that didn't.

did they mention alignment cams to you?, if not maybe they didn't have them to sell to you, so they were playing it safe on the middle perch.

we have done at least 50+ perch never seen a 2 groover. i don't think it's a FORD issue, but an installer issue. or a saturday afternoon issue.

either way a phone call may be worth while, but imo letting them work on the truck again is a gamble.

My thoughts too. I think it was a Saturday afternoon issue. But I'm not goin back due to a slew if things, the shocks at the top of my list. Not sure if I'll pay more money to go higher, if it's possible. I'll just live w the middle perch for now.

give me a call if you have any ??'s before having work done, I can help educate you before going to the shop. just because someone has tools, doesn't mean then are knowledgeable about everything. the shop you went to is great if it's a jeep or ifs chevy maybe even a superduty, but the RAPTOR is a whole different animal [no pun intended].

stickers???

Hopefully you've gotten your truck the way you want it by now, but in case you haven't, there are some Fox stickers over portions of the perches. When I got mine done, they couldn't see all of the indentations either, and the stickers had to be cut back. Also, I took mine to a Ford dealer in a small town. The did it quick, cheap, and I have a reciept that Ford performed the work if there is ever a warranty issue. Those damn things could be expensive to replace!

What did they charge you and what dealer did you have do it?

4WP quoted me $180 + $135 for an alignment.

Thanks,

Tejas
