Okay modified the search on autotrader and found a brand new 2011 molten orange crew cab with 255 miles. The dealer is asking $52,310. What do you think is a fair price that they would take for it? I think they should be able to come down some if I would be able to get a 2013 for well under $50,000 as birdman had stated?

you could have a brand new 2013 scab, with the 800a package and a decent deal out the door for well under 50k

well under? if he could get near invoice he could get loaded with 801a package and moonroof for about 45k. thats ALOT under.

they usually wont come down, I tried geting a new '11 back in feb '12 and they would not budge off msrp at blue springs ford in missouri it was sad.

2013 is the way to go

So they would rather make a deal on a brand new 2013 rather than one that has been sitting on their lot for a while? That doesn't make much sense to me. I'm looking to spend around $45,000 and I am really set on getting an orange supercrew. I would think that If a dealer would sell the truck for less than msrp back when the truck was just coming out they should be able to do that now.

well that depends on dealer, tons stick with msrp, several jack the price over msrp (heard of dealers wantin like 10k over msrp some place). but then there some dealers that will do invoice or near invoice, most guys here paid 50-2000 over invoice for their raptors, got mine for 50 over in voice, was SCab with Lux and moonroof, msrp was like 47.2, got it for 42.4. all depends on your situation and location

and as said by other guys, i would be scared to get a used 1, they like a vette or the such, no freakin clue how hard the previous owner was on it, i wanted MO also really badly but I just went with the next best thing (blue flame FTW)

Actually I found a leftover 2011 with 255 miles on it now and its closer than the other one I was looking at.

Ahh... I found it, kbb.com says msrp is $53,210 which is exactly what the dealer is asking for, and invoice is $46,860. I would say they have more to deal with than only discounting it $2,700. Like birdman said, I checked on fords website and I could get a 2013 for close to that msrp price

like i said tho you could order one for almost at invoice price, you could get 4-5k off a new ordered one easily if you find the right dealer AND you can get it made the way you want it (besides the MO color :frown: )
