How much would my 2020 raptor sell for?

What are you smoking? In Cali, he should be able to get at least $74k with that mileage. Another member on here just sold his 19 802a with 20k miles to a dealership for $62k in Florida. The Raptor market has always been higher in Cali.

Thanks for letting me know what happened in Florida too, I was offered $59K for mine in Vegas 2020 802A with less than 10K miles, but probably not relevant is it?

Someone last week on this forum tried to list their 2020 for $100K stock, so maybe he should ask $120K, it is Cali after all!

I'd start with the free/cheap listing options (here, eBay, autotrader, cargurus, etc). Get an offer from Carmax so you know what your worst case/basement offer is. If you need cash fast but don't want to take a bath, consider taking a loan out against it.

If he lists it at $74k, he will have a bunch of inquiries in Cali. There are always people looking for Raptors. But you certainly don’t give it away for $62-65k. You could drive that truck for 50k miles before you lose $25k on depreciation. So as others have mentioned, I would look to take out a loan with credit union and give them the title before I do something like that. But yea, the Florida sell is relevant when your talking about selling a brand new truck with 1200 miles for the price of a 19 with a lot more miles in a market that does not have the same demand as Cali.

I am not in position to buy a Raptor in cash, but this exact scenario is why I'd never consider it even if I could. Interest rates are so low right now that I'd rather have access to the cash for a rainy day. It's easier to eventually make a single payoff payment, should you ever choose to, than try and go in reverse.

Given that in CA, used car buyers have to pay a use tax which is equal to sales tax on a new vehicle, I would say what you paid in sales tax is a sunk cost. Knowing how in CA, every dealer was MSRP+ in the last few months of 2020, I would say start your asking price at the MSRP + 3500. Keep in mind, the buyer benefits from your prepayment of the first year's Vehicle Licensing Fees.

Heck borrow as much money as you can at these rates with this environment let the bank take the risk. Who knows what the next 10 years brings but 2.5-3.5% for homes and vehicles is too cheap to not enjoy.

With a national debt that passed our GDP last year and no signs of the growth slowing, this is good advice. Let the fools who buy our debt pay for your car.

I just saw one listed in SoCal that was a 2018 with like 25k miles for $72k so I would think you would be able to at least fetch $75k or more.
