Check Carmax and Autonation to see what they would give you. Put it up for sale around $5-8k more and it should sell. I sold my last truck to autonation and they posted it for $4500 more than what I sold it to them for. They sold it within 2 weeks. I did that to do a quick sale. I was happy with their offer.

Another option is what others offered. Schools First FCU has great rates. They'll give you a loan for KBB trade in for it. Rates are low if you really need the money and want to keep the truck.

Also wondering about just taking a loan against it, especially if you think you're going to be back in a position to pick up a Gen 3 not too long from now. Confused how you're in a position to drop $88k cash on something and then be short on cash to the point that you have to sell it. From what I know in CA you should probably be able to get MSRP back. Your crazy ****** sales tax, not so much. I'd die paying sales tax on a $74k vehicle.

So, I’m going to stick with what you asked for: sales price. Yes, yes, your truck is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. The only thing I can offer is personal experience with a 2019 Raptor in MD with every option, including the Recaro seats. 1,700 miles. One big selling point that both he had and you have is your in-service date for original warranty. He had 33 months left.

The MD guy got his asking price of $70k in less than a week. Meaning, He probably could have gotten more. (I did not buy the truck and still kind of regret not knowing the market better or I would have pounced.)

Scour the on line listing as if you were a buyer to learn your market. One website I found useful was: https://yourautoadvocate.com/

Best of luck to you, Sir.

Lol nearly every state in America (conservative and liberal) requires you to pay sales tax on vehicles. I believe there are only five states that don’t: Alaska, NH, Montana, Oregon, and Delaware. I knew a guy in TX that set up a LLC in Montana where he didn’t have to pay sales tax for his super cars. Can’t say that I blame him as the sales tax for a Raptor is bad enough.

I always finance at these low rates even though I could pay all cash, but with Zero% loans or even 1-2% who would pay all cash?
Always Always use their cash when rates are this low, its just good practice to use their money and keep your money for as long as you can...

Ya I'm mostly being a troll because I live in NH where we have no sales tax. It would be a total paradigm shift to have to pay ~$10k in tax on top of the truck for a Raptor.

Interesting...that '19 would have stickered for over $77k so he took about a 10% loss to sell it very quickly with 1700 miles. That seems like a worst case scenario, so this might be one of the more useful data points in the thread so far.

I am not in position to buy a Raptor in cash, but this exact scenario is why I'd never consider it even if I could. Interest rates are so low right now that I'd rather have access to the cash for a rainy day. It's easier to eventually make a single payoff payment, should you ever choose to, than try and go in reverse.
I thought the same. So I put 20k down, then the $900.00 payments started coming. That sucked !! So I payed mine off after 4 months. No shirt, no shoes, no payments !!!
