I think he's saying the generation (gen3) will he mass produced vs just the year. And I think it's true. Gen1 will be more collectible then Gen 2 or 3, but I want the tech in the Gen2/3
A model year within a generation can absolutely become a highly sought after vehicle and command a much higher price than the rest of the model years within that specific generation. Time will tell, let's revisit this topic in 10yrs.

Love reading the debate back and forth on production times, who's spot got bumped, etc.

And personally, it's a bit funny that anyone still wants a 2021. That will become the year the auto industry forgot. Marred by delays, shortcuts, and excuses from automakers.

But nope, america wants their auto's, and they have to feed the monkey!

With all the bs going on, zero interest in anything until 2023, when we will probably be able to get it with no compromise and at the normal new model release times.

Who wants a 2021 now when the 2022's would typically already be hitting the lots? At this rate they won't even be putting the 2022's out on time (typically july-aug timeframe)
I want my 2021 and am waiting with great excitement for my Gen3 because ive got 100,000 miles on my 2019 gen 2 and want to enjoy the new one as much as the old one, I bet i'm not alone

I think it’s slightly more complicated than that. Used and new car markets aren’t exactly the same. I’m getting top dollar for my used car but buying new at MSRP. Sure, in a normal supply year I could get under MSRP but not as much off as I’m getting for my used car.

As for the housing market, that’s true as long as your staying in the same area. If I sold a house in Northern Virginia and bought somewhere else (maybe a rural location), my money would go a bit farther. It’s all in the details. Generally I agree with you but there are special cases too.

There are always special cases I agree.
Agreed and with a high possibility of it being engineered in a lab, God knows what will come. I've seen the Spanish flu comparison before and don't think it's fully relevant. The Pfizer CEO said himself there's a vaccine resistant strain most likely on the horizon.

We all better watch out. Soon, only 99.99% of the population will be left.

I want a 21? I've owned my current truck for 10 years I would like to get something new. What does it matter if it was built the later half of the year, plan on owning this for a while.

Your statement doesn't make sense, bud.
I’m talking about Gen3 raptors in general and how your 2021 Gen3 won’t be any more valuable or sought out after because there were less trucks produced that year. If ford quit building the Gen3 raptor right now and didn’t make them again, sure. But that’s not gonna happen.

That's pretty cool that you can see into the future. Do you have some kind of trick crystal ball or have you figured out time travel?? You have zero insight into how this will pan out in the future. This was the first year the truck went from leaf springs to coil overs and first year any production truck is available with 37" tires, there's a few firsts here for sure. Not saying that these firsts will equate to a premium selling price down the road but it's entirely possible that they will. Back in the 1630s people went crazy over tulips driving the price of those said tulips to sky high levels, TULIPS man!!!!
