So let's say ford fixes it under warranty, then what? it's still going to be a week point. They sure as hell aren't going to sacrifice rear end crumple zone safety with a quick fix. It's really a tough spot for Ford to be in, granted maybe one of their own doing, but still tough none the less.

The only real solution I see is to accept it as a week point in the design and take care of the problem yourself by strengthening that particular section.

I really just don't see ford offering a permanent fix. Even if they do get this problem taking care of, something else is going to pop up. Let's face it, Raptor runs aren't going to end. Guys driving their trucks hard isn't going to stop, and shit breaking sure as hell isn't going to stop.

Being a member on both sites is NOT an issue to Clay, nor should it be. Recruiting, and trying to stir the pot between sites is obviously frowned upon! I'm an enthusiast before anything else, and the more information we all share, the better for the Raptor owners.

Sorry, I left that site because it seemed everything was frowned upon...

Plain and simple... Shit breaks off roading. Even $1M trophy trucks break. If you wanna play you gotta pay..... You just have to deal with it!

The only way to fix that under the Ford warranty is frame replacement, will be interesting to see if Ford will do that...
Fixing it yourself before it happens is the smart thing for sure if you plan on doing those kind of runs.
For those that already have the bend how about claiming it under insurance?

I know the guys with the frame issue are hopeing Ford will bail them out; I would, but think about it. The only real fix would be to replace the frame; after it's been tweaked it will never be the same. The only way to replace the frame would be at a dealer, their cost would be astronomical, and besides would you want a truck that’s been took apart, piece by piece from a dealer that most, can't even do an oil change properly? It would be cheaper for Ford to replace the truck, which is a real long shot, not going to happen. Time will tell, but I see the pain increasing for these guys, it's sad, but true. I think a few have stated it correctly, let Ford make a decision and then go fix it yourself (Aftermarket).
