So i havent read all 56 pages of this thread but have a question. Does installing a bumpstop kit fully kill the chances of bending the frame and is it true that those who installed aftermarket springs a couple years back, ran them without bumpstops?

I should have my rpg kit installed in a couple weeks and just want to know how much i am improving my chances of damaging the frame.

While nothing is 100% The RPG kit is definitely a 99.9% solution. I say 99.9% because I'm sure there's some crazy way something could still happen.

It will actually straighten out a bent frame. I know that one from experience, and when you hit those special bumps that try to bend your frame and donkey kick the rear of the truck violently, the kit will soak it up and the rear will still come up a bit, but it'll do so in a controlled and smooth manner and your frame will still be intact.

oh good lord, can't we burry this somewhere ?
yes a rpg or outlaw bump kit will take care of 99.9 percent of damage to frame

So I reply to a question and I get the facepalm?

If you wanted this thread to go away why did you post in it again and bring it back to the top of the "new topics" list?

It's not that it's weak, it's just that Raptor owners like to pretend to be Ivan Stewart :lol2:

Hey, thanks Aaron. You answered my question. I may be late to this game but I know that the bump stop is needed item for our trucks, I just wasn't sure if it was a 100% cure, hell, I'll take 90% as long as it helps. I should have it on in a couple weeks. Not sure what's up with snoop and the face palm.

One more thing, does a kit such as the rpg, hinder the oem crumple zone at all, as a matter of safety? I know i would be strengthening the frame with the support beam, but I still would like to have the safety of the crumple zone in case i get rear ended. I am sure they took this into account during the engineering process but just wanna make sure.

Best bet on that would be to call RPG up and talk to them for a straight answer.
