Why hasn't anyone set up a piggy back or remote reservoir add-on kit for the stock shocks to provide more cooling/fluid capacity? I see these kits all over the place for sleds and quads. I'm no shock expert so there's a good chance I'm missing something, just curious though.

The stock rear shock already has a piggy back reservoir.

Jamal's comment on the Deavers is interesting. All of it really just sounds like common sense to me. Wonder where Outlaw is hearing about other bent frames across the country?

It's the same as SDHQ saying they knew of more......some came into their shop but the owners straight fessed up that they went to far with the truck and only blamed themselves, hence going to them for the fix and upgrades instead of going to Ford for a warranty claim. Maybe Outlaw has seen or heard of the same thing? I thought the explanation of the frame design was pretty interesting and if you think about it, makes sense. I'd rather pay the $500-$800 to fix the frame than to have a broken axle housing or something else leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere.......you're not always with a large group on a nicely planned outing.

I guess that really wasn't all that surprising to hear what SVT's position on the matter is.

Jamal is right on the money on every point. Like many of us have said, you gotta know your truck, the course, and your own limitations. You can drive an M1 Abrams cross country at 50 MPH, but you WILL break it if you find the right combination of speed and terrain.:birgits_tiredcoffee

I don't know where this 500-800 fix came from but I'm calling BS on it. It costs that much to have a frame shop bend the sucker back. Now you have bent it a 2nd time, now it is even weaker, and you haven't even made it so it won't bend again.

I'm not saying that Ford should fix anything and I'm not crying about my truck. I just don't want someone to think that once they bend their frame it is only going to cost 500-800 to fix. An ounce of prevention boys!

I guess what I am saying is go talk to Outlaw BEFORE you push it. Connor will school you on the details. Preventing a bent frame is much easier and cheaper to deal with than after the fact. <- voice of experience talking there.

Jamal guessed a little high on the speed in the video. It was about 50mph tops on the kicker. Did anyone actually think they would admit to a crap design? Come on, who would cut a big hole in the frame right at the highest stress point? I stand by my theory that the frame shouldn't be the weakest link in the system - mine won't be after August 5th!

Mines got a little bend to it. Going to figure out how much. Slight V gap. Not as bad as some of those pics. Don't recall doing it. I was a little surprised by it. Either way, getting it fixed and installing some good stops.
