I’m in the desert and it is hot AF. All of a sudden I get fault warnings about brakes cruise traction etc.

I get 2 codes, P02FB. which just says reserved. And P1500 which seems to be pretty generic related to speed sensor.

Can anyone help with recommendations? I cleared the codes but they don’t go away.

The only functional issue is I have is no cruise control. That will be a bummer on the way home.

I hate dealers but will go if no other option.

Wonder if you knocked a wire off a speed sensor on one of the wheels, were you offroading and flinging rocks around. Shouldn't happen, but can.

Not at all. I was parked at the hotel. Drove city streets for about an hour and then it went nuts for no obvious reason.

I agree with your thought so first thing I did was crawl under and see if any rear wires were damaged. Everything looks fine.

I called the local dealer in Albuquerque and I’m f’d if it goes into limp mode or some other bad thing. He said no speed sensors are in stock for a 2020. WTF? The dealer wants me to drop it off so they can "diagnose" the problem. I’m 1000 miles from home, I can’t leave it at a dealer.

Well, I wouldnt worry about the cruise control, If the truck is running fine, it should be okay to drive. Most newer 4x4s throw those when the traction control and abs sensor lights come on, my kids wrangler did the same thing and he lost cruise control as well. You can try disconnecting your battery for ten minutes and see if it goes away, but I bet it returns, probably some 2cent part needed. I am not a mechanic, lol

Ford, and all of their suppliers were running lean. Just in time inventory, multiple levels of it. It’s akin to driving 80 on an interstate bumper to bumper. It works great and everyone gets where they’re going quickly and cheaply until someone does something radical, like sneeze. Then all hell breaks loose and it takes forever to untangle the mess. That’s where we are now, COVID was the sneeze. I wonder if we’ll learn anything? Probably not. They might add some extra parts inventory for a few years and then some manager will see a way to cut costs.

Had that happen on my Rubicon also. I had been running some trails around Death Valley and all was well. Drove home 500 miles and about a week later the light came on and cruise quit working. Found a wire that had been damaged and can only assume it was damaged in Death Valley but not quite torn all the way through. Some jiggling around on the road finished it.

Solved! The P02FB code is an unknown problem with OBD2.

That was the clue. I disconnected the Bluetooth dongle used by Torque Pro and drove around and everything reset on its own and everything is normal now with full function.

The computers in these trucks are so complex that if one little issue is wrong it takes a shit and fails all kinds of unrelated systems.
