IF I buy a 1000$ bumper and its touching the body panels to the point of removing the finish and/or paint something is terribly wrong. I am not saying its a bad design or SVC's fault at all it could be something went amiss with the install but either way it would have been removed at the first sign of rubbing. I would of hoped to of noticed this as soon as it was installed. Maybe @Raptizzle can weigh in on if his is doing this also.

Ok but lets be realistic. You take off your stock bumper, you CUT YOUR FRAME so there is no longer the factory bumper mounts, you install SVC bumper and notice its very close (it does not touch but very close), you do what you say and want to remove but YOU CUT YOUR FRAME, can't put factory bumper back on to wait for resolution. Get real.

Only choice would be to weld back on (I am not a welder, I am a cutter), repaint and attach factory bumper and get back on the Internet to get different bumper and hope you can return and eat cost of shipping.

Your statement is not realistic

Don't get me wrong. I like the bumper. Jeff at SVC was phenomenal with customer service. I would do business with SVC all day long, no question. I am merely pointing out to Jimbo that the SVC bumper does this is off-roading. He can make his choice. But if Rogue is just as close, he will have the same exact problem.

It's going to be a double edge sword. Having the tucked look radius bumper is going to put itself at risk of body flex regardless of manufacturer. The body mounts allow for a lot of movement on these trucks. It's a trade off I'm personally willing to take and it's not the end of the world to re powder or paint anything.

On my bumper, it does contact the valance on the frame horn mounts but nowhere else along the radius of the upper tube. I'm not experiencing any rust issues or any powder coat wear.

The install variance may be all the difference in the world as well. There's just enough play when installing the bumper to make a difference with how it lines up with the valance.

I think if this bumper sat any lower or further out, it would defeat the purpose of the clean look objective.

@Raptizzle

Post a pic of the right and left edge. That is where mine is rubbing, not much in the front, I have about the same clearance as you do but curious about your edges.

The piece that goes below the headlights and above the bumper is flimsy as shit after removing the bottom bumper portion. That is what moves and causes rubbing FYI. Someone who is buying a bumper like this that offroads their truck will not care as damage is expected.

I don't care that much about it, was just pointing it out as it seems others do. If it can be fixed, great but understand if not. I would rather beat my truck.
