Thank you for this. The only question that I have is about the HVAC control. The part number that you have on your invoice is completely different from the part number that they have listed on the heated steering wheel service bulletin. The one on the bulletin is : NL3Z19980S. It is also $300 cheaper but doesn't look like it contains the displays on the knobs as the one you have listed does. Any reason for the one that you have over the one listed on the service bulletin? Cheers
I had the work done before the bulletin came out and that was the only option at the time. Plus I wanted the temp numbers so it was fine.

I admit I haven't read all 48 pages and apologize if this isn't new info, but Ford now sells a heated steering wheel kit for $325.

Nice that they put that out there but damn it gets under my skin that they gave $140 to those who couldn't have the option at the time but now they want $325 for it.

Same. I don't have it, got the "credit", fit all the criteria for the Lighting replacement program. I won't be buying this but thought I'd at least share for those that might.

I don't have it either, would like to have it, but I'm not at the point yet where I'm willing to spend the money for it. I need to hit up my local dealership and see if they want to play ball with that program to add it.

Can the dealer make this work after the installation of the parts, or do you have to have forescan? It ****** me off that I have to go through this to get a heated steering wheel that I should have had to begin with, but I really miss it during the winter months.

The installation instructions state that it's a Ford dealer install only kit.

If you install it yourself, Forscan will be required to program the new modules and then make the changes needed for HSW.
