The headlights do remain on even in the off position. They time out after 10min. I have aftermarket installed on uplifters, a viper security system, k&n intake. This happened the other day when it was pouring. Buddy of mine is going to take a look at the bcm and hook it up to a computer as well this afternoon. I replaced the switch and tested all fuses and relays.

If the BCM doesn’t receive an input from the headlamp switch (bad switch, open circuit, etc) it defaults the headlamps to on as a fail safe. Is your Viper system tied into the headlight switch wiring or BCM?

I cant answer that. However the viper was installed last August and replaced a malfunctioning viper system that was 10yrs old.

there is an interrupt at the headlight switch to turn the parming lights off, but thats only used if remote start has been activated and then deactivated. meant to turn the parking lights off. the negative parking lights are there as well.

There is a wire coming off the harness going to the viper system. However I will say again the viper system was installed in August. There also factory trucks from this gen f150 having this problem.

only 1 wire? what color? white? do me a favor and disconnect that wire. there should be 3 wires connected to that switch. what alarm system and is there a module under there that is labeled db3? need to get back to the basics here and find out how the wiring was done on the alarm. also, what year is your truck?
