I’m sorry misspoke. I thought I read somewhere that they did.
I’ve never rolled with them myself, but know many personally who have. There are many times multiple members of the group will be sidelined and it helps to have multiple jacks on hand. They bring everything needed to fix trucks including a mobile welding trailer that seem to be used more or less every trip lol. They say a bone stock raptor can do the trip, and while technically true I would fear for my vehicle’s frame relying on two small pieces of hard rubber to protect the rear frame.

I'd agree with the statement. A bone stock car could make most of these roads and they often do. The factor is time. How much time do you have? All you need to do is air down and slow down. The people who are bending and breaking stuff are not aired down and going too fast possibly. Sure there is always tough luck. Just my 14 years of Baja experience.

Been on 3 and going on 4th this feb..

Yes, they have all the tools/jacks, but you are to have your own.. if you cannot change a tire, well, have your girlfriend do it! :evillol:

They'll ask you if you're good or if you need help. And sometimes another participant will stop and help.. but you should bring your own stuff always. if you don't have two spares, then you'll just end up on the pavement after your first flat LOL.. not as fun.
They are pros and have been doing this for like 12+ years.

oh.. and stockers, that's what our trucks are made to do.. sure you won't go 75 over those whoops.. but you can still keep up on the rest of it for sure. Last time i went, I had a completely stock 22 37" pkg and I was 'keeping up' with the modded crowd and even got a few 'atta boys' saying they like following me cause I was ..and quote.. ' Haulin ' ..... i said, yea.. thanks.. it's the truck. makes me look like a semi pro! these trucks are quite impressive in there stock form and this trip will definitely show you that. You will be smiling the ENTIRE time.. and have hard time going to sleep thinking about what you just did.. 80 on a beach.. 75+ plus through the washy stuff, sooo soft and floaty.. mmmm can't wait till feb..

geez -- you just sold EXO so well that I'm now looking at their schedule for a 4th trip. I did my 3 trips in my Gen 2 with Deavers and FRS. I really want to get out in my Gen 3 37PP. My last trip, there were several Gen 3's that were typically in the front of the pack, well, errr, I mean, in front of the pack behind the prerunners....haha. My own personal testing out in the deserts of Utah and Arizona Strip tells me that the Gen 3 suspension is sooooo much better than my slightly upgraded Gen 2.

haha thanks.. Tell J that when you sign up!

yea.. I've gone with the stock 18 no live valves.. and it was meh.. that was two trips.. and those were the overlanding ones. Then got the 22, and wow, I mean, wow, it was 10 times different. that added so much. and now, now it has a two valve system.. can't wait to see how that goes. rebound feels great on those speed humps! tell ya what!
seriously.. for a stock factory build, this is just right. I think i need to add rear bumps before i go this time. I am adding the goodies in the back this time.. so those who sell those, please LMK the best price for whatcha got. :)

I really wanted to pick up a 24 for the dual live valve suspension but I didn't like any of the color options. I'll just stick with my 22 till they have an option that I like enough to pull the trigger, or find an R that isn't abused and at a reasonable price (not going to happen)

Yes, the downside to that is your rack becomes the new weak point in the equation. Most would advise you change the outer tie rod and leave the inner stock as the weak point and carry a spare dinner. Its very easy to change an inner tie rod on a trail
This is a point so many forget! The Raptor as designed is relatively balanced and equipped to stay that way until a piece of the equation is beefed up. Then the stock pieces left become “under engineered”. This is not just with off road applications but any mods.

I should start taking FRF members with me on my surf trips for half the price! I surf all day and you explore the area. Meet you back at the hotel :)

Completely understandable. But if you’re going with that crew they have all of that for you already. That’s what you pay them for. Otherwise get all that stuff and go solo and really explore The Baja.
I believe those are the minimum requirements. Plus im driving from wisco ill want the spares.
