yes, with no weight in the back, the rake is steep and in my opinion, the ride is not quite as nice. Unless I'm taking stuff to the dump or using the bed to haul something else, the additional weight is there all the time. The 2nd spare lays flat in the bed so I can run a tonneau cover. I'm also out in the desert most weekends so it's just easier to leave all the stuff in the back. Your use case could be different....

I only did springs in the rear. I did collars up front. I also tried spacers in the rear but it wasn’t enough to compensate for the extra weight.

I would recommend a limit strap kit of some sort, and a bump stop kit at a minimum.

What do you need? A level head and knowledge of the limits of your truck.

Now what do I recommend? Bump stops, dust lights (such as a third brake light or something similar), a radio is required on all Baja Runs im aware of, and springs could be beneficial for a little ground clearance. EXO does also have the occasional night trail runs so front lights on either the A pillar or bumper is recommended for that just incase.

If youre looking for bumps, I have some in stock and I can get you sorted out.

You will also need a radio. A second spare would be good. Bed supports. Fog lights. Jack with proper tools for wheel replacement. A new face seeing as you will brake yours from all that smiling while on the trip.

LOL...this is so true. I've been on three Exo runs and it's always the modified trucks that have issues. For Shelby Raptors, or people who add the ADD light bar that attaches to the bed rails, this is always the first thing rattle loose. they take them off and it then rides on the chase trailer for the remainder of the run.

the first run I went on, I broke two wheel sensors one day. I told them about the issue, they fixed it overnight. They handed me the keys to the truck the next morning at breakfast and said "lets go have more fun." They are great in managing breakdowns and having Raptor parts needed for fixes.

I'm down in Baja 2-3 times a month and always run into those guys on surf trips. Maybe we can start to create a list of parts that you have seen break so that we can keep them onboard as spares. All I have right now is a spark plug and coil. With my jeep that had 240K miles on it (many of them Baja) I had every spare part imaginable collected over the years.

I'll add wheel speed sensors to my list. Anything else you see please let us know.

With 500lbs you’ll definitely want different springs in the rear

I did eibach hd in the rear, it adds 2.5” to the height. Stock springs up front. I run a second spare, a badlands jack, shovel, traction boards, a 17” Blackstone griddle, a Roam case, a couple of chairs, and even an umbrella (don’t make fun of me, it gets hot in Utah and the Arizona Strip). There is still an inch to inch and half rake. I think geisers are rated for more weight.

Once you add the springs don’t forget to reset your live valve settings.

You’ll have a ton of fun in Baja with the Exo crew. They know how to do Baja

This is one of my favorite beaches to do fast speeds. I've hit 80 before in a jeep wrangler. I haven't taken the Raptor on it yet because where I like to surf is up the dune and the trails get tight heading further out. I've been thinking about trying to take some loppers and brush chain saw to get back out that way without pinstriping the truck.
