Havoc in the Hills Preparation

I mounted my fire extinguisher to my bed extender in the bed. Using a Quick Fist clamp and a lower J bracket which I Pasti-Dipped. I also used all stainless hardware. I just couldn't drill into the truck.

The way I see it, this is for the other guy. If my truck catches fire, I plan to get the F**k out period. I' ve seen other vehicles catch fire and could only stand there and watch, due to the fact that I did not have a FE to use at the time. The next time will be different, I will be prepared.

The set-up in the pic is for an up coming trip, hoping to test this out and attend next years Havoc.

I think it's ok to have a smaller bottle on the inside easy access but definitely get a bigger one outside of the truck. it's $60 you hope you never have to use.

I was just going to get a fire extinguisher and mount it in the bed but after reading the article that OrangeAddict posted a link to I am also re-thinking what to do. What I and thinking is to install a 5lb or better fire extinguisher in the bed and a smaller one in the cab.

Update...

I opted out of the camper and booked a room at the comfort inn. I went and looked at the campers.. Ha ha no way am I staying in them... Rooms cheaper until I buy a camper of my own...

Bump stop installed. Might cut exhaust and turn in down till after the event then get a lighting side exit setup.

Spring are not here yet. Hoping them make it before the event. Ordered from WSI...
