Under 90 mph?
You aren't concerned about a break-in period?
I kept mine under 70 mph for the first 500 miles - perhaps no different than our approach.

Got to vary speed...60-95-82-55....:)

Its a truck, if engine can't handle 90mph out of the gate, I bought the wrong truck. It will be fine. I don't want to be guy doing 70 in an 80.

SH130 goes up to 85mph a bit further south :)

I just broke 250 miles on mine this morning driving to work, I've been up to 80 (in a 75mph zone) but haven't floored it yet, want to see 1,000 on the odo first.

You made the right choice. You saved $3k plus for same config as 2019.
You are a doer

He saved a whole lot more than that. He got a vehicle with a base price already 3k less for UNDER invoice.

I don't think it matters once bit TBH. Some people swear by the "Italian tune-up" on a new car saying it gets the piston rings to "seat better"

Thx!

No trade. Wrote a check and drove home.

Was certainly the right $ for me...plus can start using it today vs wait.
If there was no trade, then you definitely got a great deal. Congratulations!!! We have had a lot of people on here quote really good deals, but then you find out there was a trade, or the purchase was confounded with the owner also buying five other trucks for his business.

It was very straight forward. Got the GM on the phone hammered out deal after about 2 calls...I did a soft walk and he called back. I didn't care either way as I had 19 ordered, so net/net I would have won. But he caved and told him I'd come grab it today (yesterday) and he had it make ready before I even arrived. 15 minutes of waiting, signing registration papers, writing a check and I was headed home.

I love end of month/end of model year deals. Plus it was his last one and he clearly has 19's rolling in.

Had windows tinted this morning and it's ready for weekend duty...and probably some weekday as well. It's a fun ride and you gents who have had one for years have done it right.
