WTF?! The dealer's "sale" price is 90,454 and the sticker on that truck is 75,255. That's 15,199 OVER sticker!? I've been to Alaska many times and never found drugs like that!

I got a chuckle out of the "sale" price. The dealership in Fairbanks is only asking 5K above MSRP. They hit me for 1K above MSRP on my 2018. These trucks aren't retaining their value like the Gen 1's, so I have a feeling this markup crap is going to take care of itself eventually.

Maybe those that have done it can chime in, but I understand you need to take to an official weigh station for a certificate and AAA or DMV will need to verify that’s it’s a CA emission compliant by looking for the emissions tag under the hood.

Jesus, California sucks ass when it comes to just about anything government run doesn’t it.

Would you mind sharing dealership names with the 2019’s at invoice?
Sure. Airport Marina Ford is where I ended up buying a 2020 Leadfoot. I got a sizable discount, but not invoice. But I wanted the color. Talk to John Felix.
Also, Vista Ford was ready to work as well.

I watched the Gen 1 I just bought go from 25K to 22K to just under 19K, then I bought it. I actually felt bad, it was a old established family owned used car lot, they were selling nothing, they dropped the Raptor hoping it would go quickly. I come along and grind them down a little further (because of vehicle condition) I was waiting to buy watching the price drop. The vehicle market both new and used may not be the same for a long time.

I think I've found one to bit the bullet on. It's a 2020 that's about $5,200 off MSRP. Since I'm shipping to Alaska, the closer to the ports in Seattle, the better. I found better deals out there, but not many in the Pacific Northwest. Gave a few dealers an opportunity to make a better deal, but they didn't want to come down, so I'm ending up getting a nearly fully loaded 802A that is less than most dealers are offering the 802A's with nearly no extra options. If I wasn't so picky on color, then there were much better deals to be had, including some at invoice. I'll be curious to see how difficult it will be to sell my 2018 now.

Congrats! For reference I got $58,500 for my 18 loaded 802 with 6,800 miles.

Thanks! I hope I'm making the right deal and not jumping too early, but I doubt we'll see a 2021, and I have a feeling if there is a 2021 model, it won't be any different than 2020 due to this shutdown. Did you sell your 2018 privately, or trade it in? I've got about 42,000 miles on mine, and I'm hoping to get above 50K for it.

I have a good friend that is the GM at my dealer. I let them sell it for me, therefore I was able to hold the tax credit. They sold it in about two weeks back in Jan. I just purchased my 20 last week when I was able to get a deal at invoice minus Holdback. Tried to purchase one in Jan and the dealers wouldn't deal at all.

Good luck with your 18!

Your timing couldn’t have been any better when you sold yours. Unfortunately things have significantly changed in the past couple months. The big drop in new Raptor prices should make used prices drop the same proportion, so it turns out to be somewhat of a wash if you have to trade or sell to get the new one.
