It would be much cheaper than the 4k markup to get an attorney to deal with them. Better yet get ahold of your Ford zone manager. You would be surprised how much pull they have with the dealerships.

This is a slam dunk case in the state of NY man. Let them know you'll be sending them a petition (aka a lawsuit) in which they'll have 30 days to respond.

Your damages will be the market value adjustment (look up ~5-10 vehicles on auto trader that are similar to the one your ordered).

To file a suit is fairly inexpensive (<$500) and when you win, which you will, they'll have to pay all your legal fees plus their legal fees.

You don't need to hire a lawyer.

You can do this yourself and use it as money to to put towards the extras for your trucks.

Seriously, please do this.

If I had time I'd help you.

Cheers

Ford Dealers

I committed to an offer of msrp for an incoming raptor from Ferrario Ford in Elmira NY. I even offered earnest money. This is all in writing between me and the sales person and the GM. The owner of the dealer just returned from vacation and tried to jack price by $4k.

I told them I'm a person of my word and they can go to hell. I have no problem with a dealer gouging the informed customer if that's the biz model they choose to run with. But I have a real problem with them going back on their word.

So my search continues.

I gotta a real bad taste in my
mouth for Ford.

When I ordered a gt4 last year Porsche never asked more than msrp and those were a hell of a lot more rare than a raptor.

Get use to it! Most dealers are lairs and scum bags! But their is a few that are stand up, honest and have integrity. Those are the ones that will get all of my business now and in the future.

Small $$$ lawsuits against dealers never work, I had $13K in damages from an unauthorized drive while my car was in for service, and I couldn't get a lawyer on board

Fees will quickly overshadow the actual damages plus lawyers rather wait for a bigger fish, i.e. injuries where they get a cut of the settlement

Not to mention between the lawyer, lawyer's spouse and employees and a dealership family who owns a few different brands in the area, there's a good chance of a conflict of interest

This is why dealers do this, they've been threatened before and realized they can get away with it

I would NEVER buy from a dealer who treated me like this, no matter what they offered me.

Just visit their facebook page, the Ford forums and every place you can find to share your experience with anyone and everyone who googles Ferrario Ford.

When people are treated well, they share their experience with people they know. When they're treated like this, they share with total strangers. What goes around, comes around.

Contact Ford - they already got involved with another dealer that did the same thing to a customer, who had it in writing. Made the dealer sell at agreed upon price.

Don't let this go.

Lets see the agreement you had in writing. Then we will tell you what you really had.

I have to put in context. I had asked if they'd take an f550 on trade. All the while the price was at msrp. Today by phone the GM said it was a business decision and he understood my anger but it was out of his hands.

Wayde. Owner is back! Has 3 e-mails from dealers offering $4000.00 over MSRP for Raptor. With that in mind, he feels Your 550 is worth $40,000.00 off MSRP against Raptor. or now says $4000.00 Minimum Over Msrp. My and My GM's hands are tied as he's the owner. What the Hell are these other dealers getting for them if they're willing to pay Us $4000.00 over??? Hope this will work for You. Happy New Year. Fred.

Sounds great
At this point i imagine that the truck is built and cannot be altered? Otherwise I would add that adaptive cruise pkg
Let me know if you want that $1000 earnest payment and if you have any ideas on availability
Thanks again
