Got my VIN and delivery date today!

I was told no material holds. I have cf as an option

Ford Service won't have this information. All they would see is "Material Hold" ~ They don't know the details on the CF shortage issues. You'll need to have your dealer contact their zone rep or the scheduling department.



Ford computers are refreshed on Thursday's. Yes new VIN's have been given out today. I'd go ahead and contact them again to see if you got one! Good luck!

I had to remove mine if I wanted it scheduled. This happened as of this morning .... I originally wanted it removed 2 weeks ago when all this CF hoopla started. My dealer never removed it like I asked.

Fast forward to this morning ~ and Ford Scheduling got in contact with my dealer. Told them their was short supply of CF and if I wanted it scheduled now, I'd have to remove it. I was pissed it wasn't removed when I asked weeks ago.

I have no doubt some are being built with CF right now ~ We've seen several scheduled. I do believe there is indeed a material shortage that will effect future build's.

Have you dealer contact their zone rep. This isn't something Ford Service or Ford Performance can answer for you.

EDITED TO ADD: And for the record ~ Mine has been "Unscheduled/Clean" with no material holds for several weeks. That didn't stop this morning phone call. Also ~ Ford Scheduling gave no timeline on when more CF Material would be available. Said it could be several weeks or several months. I'm not waiting around to find out.

Thought I would share since this thread helped me figure out how to check on my order via Facebook messenger. Today I got my vin with a build date of Oct 22nd from Mackenzie with Ford service. Went with lightning blue and ordered every option other than orange accents including carbon fiber and all the graphics. I placed my order on 8/3 (priority 10) and msrp came to $71,420.

Went with lightning blue and ordered every option other than orange accents including carbon fiber and all the graphics. I placed my order on 8/3 (priority 10) and msrp came to $71,420.

Congratulations...I'm jealous.

Checked again - still no luck
Ordered 8/2, priority 10 on my dealer's first allocation. No CF on my order.
Asked what status was via fbook messenger and was told: "in order processing"
The wait continues

That's the first message where I saw that from Ford!!!! I hope they try to stick to their schedule!!!

So you received your VIN and date with the CF package? Cool, there is still hope for my order. Don’t know what reason or algorithm Ford has, but I can’t figure out why some orders placed in July are still not scheduled. Sucks that I am willing to pay over a gran for the CF but get held back. Is it the CF? Cause some with the CF option have a date already. I’m thinking it won’t make a difference if I remove the CF now anyway. Congrats to all who have a built date.

I'm in the same boat. CF optioned ordered 7/25
