Works for me. My tiny dealer just has the single allocation. Granted I'm screwed if she decides to ask for more $. But I'm content in that if she does that, I walk and go buy something else. Granted it won't be a Raptor, but i'll have the peace of mind to know that I didn't pay over MSRP to pad the pockets of a car dealer.

I never once contemplated placing my order without getting a signed document that included the out the door price and all of the options. I also very willingly gave a $1000 deposit as consideration to make the contract legally binding. My dealership would have no legs to stand on if they tried to back out of the deal now. It would cost them dearly!!!! Others may want to try the same approach to avoid getting played. I feel bad that others are getting ****** around.
Paper doesn't buy you much, I've had it happen countless times with signed documents, GM approval, deposits, etc
They give your deposit back and go radio silent, if you want to do anything beyond that you have to take them to court, by then the car in question is long gone
