DD here for over 2 years. I just take up two parking spots when parking usually. The Raptor is a great DD and I love it. My daily commute requires walking from the bedroom to my office so MPG is overrated for me. Still managed to put 19k miles on just that truck in the past year. Put another 4k on the PreRunner, another 5k on the F350 and another 40k on the other vehicles total.

california downsizes everything so trying to park my fat ass raptor in a parking spot sometimes proves to be a challenge. other than that........ well i got nothing....

Your right, some of these parking spots are a tight fit even with a small car. I like to keep all my cars nice, so I park farther away and walk if I need to go to a store. Otherwise their going to get full of door dings because most people (especially women) don't care, they just park as close as the can and fling their door open. The Chevrolet truck I drive now I really don't care about, even it's to big for lots of spots, so I know the Raptor will be more difficult. But I will keep the Chevy, a person really needs to have more than just the Raptor.

Similar situation here and once you get behind the wheel, daily, I promise you will not care how far away you park. Common sense parking recommended, but just creep through the parking lot until you find No Man's Land and park that baby like a boss. The drive is incredibly smooth, you sit on a throne, who cares about mpg, and cars move when you get behind them. The part that sucks is actually leaving the truck to go into work. You will have a nice walk looking back though -

I hear ya... I don't even have mine yet, and I am already debating buying a "beater" to drive to places like the grocery store and such. Places where I don't feel comftorable leaving it. I have an 06 Mustang Roush, so its in the same boat. I don't want to bring that certain places either.

Awesome DD. Been driving mine everyday for almost a year now and can't imagine having a different DD. I hate driving any other vehicle because of this truck, including my whippled cobra.
