Have you had your shocks replaced on your Gen3? Had my fronts replaced and the vibration in the front through the steering wheel disappeared. Not sure why the 37’s would make it more pronounced but I’m pretty sure that’s what caused my issues.
not yet. My shock was working fine until I changed the ride height (37 tires and new springs) glad to know that the vibration is related to the shock.

I started having this issue a couple months ago after 17k miles on my 22’-35, note the build date of my truck is June 2nd of 2022 so it was born 3 weeks before the shock fix. For those that are still having this issue; while driving I cycled through the shock modes during normal city driving and while in off-road I noticed the shuttering and vibration in the gas pedal and steering wheel was nearly gone entirely. After that, cycling back to normal and sport, they were also vastly improved. I’m not sure it’s 100% better but now I’m so neurotic about it I probably can’t remember what truck used to feel like. I think something may be going on in the suspension calibration or valving and cycling the mode helps to reset it. I’m still thinking I will push for new shocks from the dealer given the known issues.

How did you get them to replace your front shocks? Any magic words?

I have a March 2023 with 35s build picked up a few weeks ago, and I immediately was bothered by how busy/chatter the ride seemed on small bumps/RR crossings, etc.

I aired down from 40 all around to 37 front/33 rear, which helps, but that is not solving the underlying issue.

First time I brought it in was to have them check the feedback I was getting over cracks and imperfections in the road. It was almost as if there was a knuckle in the steering column loose or like the connection between the steering wheel and column wasn’t tight.

They couldn’t replicate it or figure it out so I showed them the TSB and they ended up replacing the fronts first. I’m guessing they eventually used chassis ears.

The TSB won’t cover your vehicle because it falls outside the dates but that’s not to say there isn’t something wrong. Try seeing if there’s another raptor on the lot and if they’ll let you test drive it. If it’s not exhibiting the same symptoms that might help your case.

I just dropped my truck at the dealer and handed them the service bulletin. I posted above about having some success with alleviating the harshness and vibration by cycling the suspension mode but after a few miles it’s back to its bad behavior and doesn’t respond to mode changes anymore, just stays harsh and rattling. I’m curious if you felt like all 4 shocks were riding harsh? It seems like it would be something with the live valve processing unit vs the physical shocks given all 4 of mine seemed to respond to the same short term fix and then regressed together. Do you know if they have anyway to access the live valve calibration and see if there is a fault?

Quick check, have you looked to see if any of the wires running to the shocks are damaged or disconnected/loosely connected? I’ve heard of a few raptors having this behavior due to this.

Dealer found no loose wires or faults, aside from a low charge message; but the battery passed a condition check. Just picked it up and its still doing the same thing, I'm going to be pushing for replacement shocks. Hopefully I don't have larger electrical or livevalve module issues that aren't easily addressed.

My rough chattery ride continues without end. I stopped by the dealer to determine a course of action ie. what it's going to take to get the shocks swapped per the service bulletin and they asked me to have a tech ride with me; of course he told me nothing was wrong with the truck and that maybe my tires were worn unevenly...... I've requested a comparison drive against another truck but I can tell this is going to be a long road. If anyone knows a dealer in SoCal that has successfully processed a shock swap under the service bulletin please let me know. I can't stand the way my truck drives now, if Fox would come out with an FRS setup for the Gen 3 I would make the swap just to end this and not deal with the dealer.
