Oh man that sucks. Any idea why the crankshaft came apart? Were you making some good power with the stage 2 forged?

That's what I'm thinking - they'll have the latest and greatest everything - still thinking about upgrading the oil pan from the plastic garbage but otherwise should be pretty set. Price still seems steep though, but I'm already in the thick of it.
Well the stage 2 RMB i had i could never get it right for some reason. Not sure what it was but I logged many and I mean many do dataloggs with Goosetuned. He said something is not right from the start. And I made many changes with it. Turbos, downpipes, injectors, and plugs but just couldn't get it to acted right.
Since I pulled it and put the stock long block in it has been awesome! Pulls way better than the RMB ever did. And I still owe @GooseTuned another datalog for 93 octane. Then we can move on to E85.

The new long block I got did not come with a plastic oil pan.

@dillard09 thanks for all the info here! Just to clarify the long block was just the block without the oil pan and extra pieces? So you reused your parts for the previous engine?

I know it doesn't make financial sense (putting money in vehicles rarely does), but I do appreciate your willingness to keep it on the road.
Dude new trucks are also so expensive and I’ve already dug myself into a hole. At least these trucks retain their value better…
Smart thing would be sell / trade the raptor and buy a basic truck but that’s no fun

No sir. Ir came with everything. All I had to resuse from my motor that was pulled out was intake manifold and throttle body. It had injectors, oil pan, and even cam with an oil filter.

@dillard09 wow, that seems like a really easy install then... Maybe a day or two?

So the engine didn't have a plastic oil pan? A metal one instead? I'm calling the dealer today to get more info and get their quote.
And here is what my invoice looked like.
Thanks for posting this. Seems like the block is 4k instead of 7k... crazy if prices really went up that high.
Ah, that's the labor. I see it's 7k for the engine assembly.
Turbos were still good? My mechanic is worried if the engine had poor oil changes then the turbos could be affected, which would add up in labor later on than just replacing it now.

All this information is super helpful thank you. My turbos are original (172k mi) so makes sense to just swap those out. Nice the OEM motor comes with a 3 year warranty, but void if you go over 6k rpm, haha
How many miles on the new OEM so far?
