What is a "supper charged raptor"? And also being "disconnected". You sure he works for Ford? And the guys penmanship sucks too. Does anyone under the age of 40 know how to write? Geebus

I was thinking the same thing, I do believe that the gen 3 raptor won't make a comeback until 2023 though.

Why would they stop making it for 3 years? Just to come out with a supercharged model? Something doesn't sound right.

Salesmen have a consistent track record of ********.

Ford documents show there will be a 2021 Raptor, but possibly no Supercab: https://jalopnik.com/the-hybrid-2021-ford-f-150-will-be-paired-with-base-3-5-1842618303

It might be a carryover of 2020 Raptor with 2021 interior updates. It might have exterior updates. It might have the linked rear suspension currently in development. It might have powertrain updates. It might not have any of that. That's all we the public know right now.

Come to think of it, the "spy" photos of the Raptor with the coil spring rear end may have simply been testing for the Bronco Raptor, if there is one. It would make sense; it's much easier to package a short rear overhang with coils, for sure.

If Ford will be making a 21' Raptor, what month do they usually announce what is next?

here, on frf
its not completely out of this world..... ford has had a 5 year run on a lot of svt vehicles and then take a break from manufacturing them. then come back with a new svt (ford performance now) vehicle. but all anyone can do is wait. in july/august order banks usually open up to order the next years model. lets see what happens in 2 months

If they follow the same pattern they used in the past we won't see a new Raptor until 2023. The 12th gen F150 was built from 2009-2014 and the Raptor came out in 2011. The 13th gen F150 was built from 2015-2020 and the 2nd gen Raptor came out in 2017. The 2021 F150 will be the 14th gen so if they follow the same pattern and skip 2 years the gen3 will debut in 2023.

Yes, as I posted in another thread, this is very common Ford protocol. Look at the Mustang generation changes, the Shelby/Cobra is almost always a year or 2 after.

On a smaller scale, Focus and Fiestas, new body style, dead year, then ST. And in the case of the Focus RS, it was a couple years into the new body style.

This is a common SVT/FP pattern. Doesn’t mean then sales person knows what he’s talking about, but 2022-2023 seems logical given the new F150 comes out next year. (And with F150 production stalled because of Covid, who know how that affects or delays.)
