If they follow the same pattern they used in the past we won't see a new Raptor until 2023. The 12th gen F150 was built from 2009-2014 and the Raptor came out in 2011. The 13th gen F150 was built from 2015-2020 and the 2nd gen Raptor came out in 2017. The 2021 F150 will be the 14th gen so if they follow the same pattern and skip 2 years the gen3 will debut in 2023.
Yes, as I posted in another thread, this is very common Ford protocol. Look at the Mustang generation changes, the Shelby/Cobra is almost always a year or 2 after.
On a smaller scale, Focus and Fiestas, new body style, dead year, then ST. And in the case of the Focus RS, it was a couple years into the new body style.
This is a common SVT/FP pattern. Doesn’t mean then sales person knows what he’s talking about, but 2022-2023 seems logical given the new F150 comes out next year. (And with F150 production stalled because of Covid, who know how that affects or delays.)
