I use to have a vertical stack of the numbers 1-10 on the left side of my info display on the instrument panel to show what gear I was currently driving in. The other day I noticed it happened to be gone. I thought perhaps it was only in Sport mode, so I toggled through some of the other modes to find and the gear indicator never reappeared. I went through the instrument info display settings and didn't find anything on it.

Am I crazy?? Where did this disappear to and how do I get it back? I don't ever drive in Manual so it wasn't from switching to that.

Hit the + on the shifter when shifting. You turned it off by hitting the - while shifting at some point.

I had this same question 18 months ago.

I accidentally turn mine off all the time. It’s annoying. Maybe someone smarter than me can tell me why the gear indicator would ever need to be turned off?

Because for every person that complains about it shutting off, there’s bound to be someone complaining that they don’t want to see it.

Then make it a menu item buried somewhere in the settings menu. Don't make it the button on the shifter that you have to touch every time you use the truck.
