Not sure if these are legal in California but I like the low profile design:

I still have had great look using cans like these. I can take one tie down strap and put like 5 of these across the back window of my superduty and have 30 gallons of fuel.

Why are all you guys still beating this very dead horse? These motorsport cans with the sealed tops work great. You just buy one filler neck top. Or am I missing why these wouldn't work?

1. Are they CARB approved (available in CA)?
2. What is their overall height? Will they fit under a bed cover like the BakFlip?

It looks way too awesome to be legal in CA...all the cool stuff is illegal here

I know they sell identical "water" versions too, maybe they'll ship those? From their site:

Due to new EPA regulations, FUEL packs are not currently available for sale in the USA but may be shipped outside of the US. We are in the process of tooling up our machinery to make the new EPA compliant cans, est. availability Dec 2010. WATER packs are available now. The Expedition One Geri Fuel and Water Packs are made from from a hi-density polymer plastic and comes with a self enclosed flex spout with a sure seal anti-vibration fuel cap. Designed to handle loads of up to 800lbs of gear stacked on top of it. Dimensions 34" X 13.5" X 3.25". Each can holds 4 gallons and comes in both Gas and Water. Water packs are FDA approved for drinking and available in BLACK or WHITE

Yes, it looks like they'll sell their water container versions in black or white @ $69.95 which is pretty spendy for a 5 gallon container. Nonetheless, it's an interesting slim design that could be handy to have and use.

I believe the company is in Utah (based on the 801 area code - couldn't find that info on their website).

FWIW: I really don't like flash-based websites.

Unless you already have a filler neck you can't buy one anymore in CA. You can get the can just not the filler neck...I love this state.

Can't we get a friend or two outside of Corruptifornia to provide them to us? Can we get them in Arizona next month when we're there? What else should be buy when we're there?

I tell ya, sometimes living in this state is like, well, like living in California. :shakehead:

Yep, their shop is just north of SLC. They built the bumper and sliders that I have on my FJ and they do quality work.

The Geris are a little expensive but they are super tough, there are videos floating around of James (the owner) parking his FJ on top of one of the cans with no problem. Probably a little overkill and the low profile design is better served on roof racks but they are pretty slick IMO.
