Are the square VP fuel jugs/nozzles not sold in CA either?

VP markets them as "for racing use only".

But, they're amazing, and the square ones are shorter than the bed rails. They seal, and don't leak when filling something(assuming you use the vent correctly). They do balloon slightly under pressure. But, that was from being bounced around and a 50 degree temp change from being filled to when I noticed.

I have some of these:

Amazon doesn't say anything about not shipping them to CA.

I just have an extra cap with the hose attached. The PVC at the end of the hose fits in the Raptor's opening.

Those definitely aren't legal. I have two of those VP jugs and they work great. I keep the hoses attached to the cap at all times. I wonder if I'll get less grief if I just put a standard cap with no hose? But then again, I live in California where everything is illegal.

I'm gonna be building my bed rack these next two weekends and will design one slot for the VP and one for a standard Home Depot carb approved gas can. Because in the end, I'm gonna be using the funnel anyways, so it really doesn't matter if I use a carb approved can or not

Man, CA is lame. I have the extra cap w/ hose just so they fit under the tonneu.

I knew about some of the vehicle modification laws in CA, but, never would have guessed fuel containers needed to be CARB approved too.

The vehicle mod thing is why I turned down a couple of job offers I had that would have moved me there. I'm not willing to give up my main hobby.

That being said we have world class beaches, mountains, deserts, forests, theme parks, NATIONAL PARKS, restaurants, and jut about everything else within a 2 hour drive from literally wherever you stand in SoCal.

It's a give and take.
