I was at Costco today and saw this Scepter brand gas can and siphon/pump system...

SUPERFLO COMBO W/3 GALLON FUEL CAN - FUEL TRANFERRING SIPHON/PUMP SYSTEM

A great value that includes the SuperFlo and a heavy walled Scepter 3 gallon gas can. Fill-ups just got a lot easier with clean fuel transfer. SuperFlo is the clean and easy alternative to today's EPA gas can spout and can eliminate overfills that damage our environment and waste gas. Can be used as a siphon with a few priming pumps of the handle to transfer fuel at 1 GPM or can be used as a fuel pump at a slightly slower fill rate. Ideal for small engines with small reservoir tanks. The pump maintains siphon pressure so that next time you only need to squeeze the handle once to continue siphon transfer. Child safety lock on handle and on/off switch at gas can. 36" hose. Can be used with all fuel types.

Yeah, Bottom Line is where I bought mine. I paid $378 for (4) Fuel cans, (2) water cans, a spout, and (4) Viton gaskets, shipped.

The Viton gaskets are necessary if you're using gasoline - most military use is Diesel (well, JP8 which is closer to Kerosene...), and the gaskets are different material.

Thanks Junior. I hoped you'd find this thread since I found you and the Scepter info on the FJ Cruiser forum. You should change your info over there to say, "Resident FJ troll on SVToffroad.com" :)

I was at my local cycle shop today, and noticed something interesting. This might be old news to some of ya, but it was new to me so I thought I'd share.

On the shelf, they have incredibly thick plastic "Tuff Jug" 5 gallon containers (maybe 3x the wall thickness of the Blitz cans?). They're made by Fair Trails Enterprises. Sort of reminded me of the containers SuperRaptor linked too, but with a self venting cap to keep things carb legal:

Next to those though, they had a ton of these white containers, without that carb legal easy pour cap.

These jugs have a (very easily removed) sticker on them that says "Not to be sold or used as a "Portable Fuel Container" - 5 Gallon Recycling Container"

So I'm lookin at this can and its cap, and I start to wonder... this cap has a plug in it:

That plug comes out. Unscrews, even.

And wouldn't ya know it, just over there on that other shelf, I find this:

Just as I start to peice all this together, the helpful sales guy comes over and says "Those jugs are as good as any pre carb Scepter cans ever were. Too bad we can't sell them as gas cans... anymore..." Scepter you say? Where have I heard that name before...

Huh. Yup. Too bad.

I bought one, and the filler hose. You know... in case I need to recycle any fluids...

Cool stuff Jason. Do you know (can you tell) if the cans are designed to hold up to UV? That can reminds me of the cans they do/used to sell - are they still selling them? I assume they're not available anymore? I used to have a bunch for my jetskis and PWCs) and they would yellow due to the sun's rays. Here's a pic of 'em:

This site says, "Sorry this product is not available".

Here's another can (don't know if it's CARB-legal - I doubt it):
