Fuel Storage Options

I have one of those Blitz cans (red plastic) and they're what's available for purchase.

They work but they're not what I'd say is the best solution for riding around in the back of a pickup truck that is being driven offroad especially in the heat. My Blitz can swells up in the heat and the valve on top must have been designed by our government. It's "safe" because it's hard to use, takes three hands and doesn't function well (only half-kidding about the taking three hands). The plastic can has a thin wall so it swells up like a balloon.

It's a plastic gas can that holds gas.

There are better products out there and I want them.

Huh. I haven't had any issues at all with the pour (used it twice, just to see), the walls of the jug seem pretty stout, and so far I've seen no swelling (granted I've only seen 80deg so far).

How long ago did you buy yours Dan? In looking at other reviews and their website, it looks like they recently went thru a significant redesign. Maybe you have the old design?

Boy if that is the case, I must have one of the old design as well. Three hands is an understatement! We have a couple of them that we bought for hauling snowmobile gas and I usually end up just unscrewing the cap and using a funnel. I'll have to go check out the new ones.

I have a bunch of these type of gas cans and they seem to work great. The handles on mine all line up so I can run one tie down through all the handles and hold like 5 across the back of the cab of my superduty.

I just purchased mine. It has that awful safety cap on it.

The Blitz can does what it's supposed to - hold gas. Problem is it's a inefficient, complicated solution using a design mandated by law and cheapness to make it low cost enough to be carried in stores like Wallyword.

When I can get a couple of Sceptre cans I'll pass it on to someone who will use it

Heard of this one?? Not sure how much fuel you are wanting to transport but figure if you are going out for a weekend this could work very well holds 14 gallons
