LOL I guess I'll have to have you show me what I'm doing righ... erh... wrong to get it to work so well. Gotta nip those nasty habits in the bud :)

If you hold a Yorkshire Terrier in one of your arms while pouring you should have just as much trouble as Dan :thumpsup2:

FYI:

1. A chihuahua works just as well as a Yorkie :D

2. When I can't see what I'm doing with the Blitz gas can cap I light a match. Does anyone else do that?

3. The Blitz can is fine. I don't happen to like it because I want a "real gas can". Maybe our bretheren in the military can confiscate some Sceptre cans for us before they come home? :D

OK MMD you might owe me for this! I bet this guy might be able to get you some cans..

I still have had great look using cans like these. I can take one tie down strap and put like 5 of these across the back window of my superduty and have 30 gallons of fuel.

FWIW, I was able to find Scepter 20L cans at Bottom Line Military Sales. The owner called on the phone, minutes after I placed the order.

He asked "Are these for Military use?" I answered, "May I say Yes?"

He said, no, I understand your concerns and we can still work it out. Long story short, he had some in stock which were made before Arizona became CARB-compliant.

That was his only stipulation - if the cans were made before the state they were being shipped to went to the CARB standard, he could make the deal.

So I had to settle for OD green ones versus the Tan I wanted, but no worries there. I also ordered two of the water cans, and also the Viton seals which are necessary for holding gasoline (versus Diesel, which the seals in the cans are made for).

Is the F150's optional 36 gallon tank an option here?

I have been wondering that same thing myself....

That is awesome that you were able to find some.

Another idea I had was getting some of the CARB compliant cans and using a Super Siphon instead of the CARB spout.

Sceptre gas cans appear to be available here: http://bottomline2000.com/fuelcontainers.aspx

They offer them in green only (no tan) and also offer Viton gaskets (I assume these are necessary).

They also offer Sceptre cans for water. http://bottomline2000.com/watercanmilitary.aspx

You need to be "in the military" when you order from this company. I suspect they won't/can't ship to California but I know AZ is OK (OK may be OK too :D ) and I wonder if NV is OK (we have friends in NV).
