Well yah, out of curiosity I scheduled for FSA 21B10. I have a 2017, and this is the reply from Ford service department.

Tell them they need to refer to the 21B10 Supplement #2 released July 15, 2021. The new software is available, give them a call and have them look it up.

No. The dealer is referencing the old update from March, the new software is available as if 7/15.
FTO- i been lurking these threads and many others.. Thanks for all your efforts with the group... I was just curious is this CAM phaser issue in 2017 to 2019 is it a high probability to all trucks at some point will have this? Plus i have read that even though this happens its suppose to not effect the reliability of the truck or do limp ode-etc.(just a bad sounds). ?
IS that true too?...

I really love my used 2019- almost 2 much-- told myself never would get a 6cyl turbo FULLSIZE TRUCK but must say i am impressed by it

They just took mine in for the reprogramming. So it's still valid. Although it did disappear from my FordPass app last night sometime.
I had mine updated earlier this week (Tuesday) and the recall/TSB still shows up on my Ford Pass app. So does the service history, but it doesn't specify the reason for the visit.

Have you noticed anything different afterwards?
No. It isn't a daily driver, but I did drive it a couple times in town. I've driven regular and sport modes, and it seems to be the same as before. Once in a while in sport mode I get a more harsh shift, but it could be that I'm not on it enough too...lol.

My experience with sport mode is that it works best with aggressive acceleration!

No, not every phaser will develop the issue. The calibration update was released to prevent the phasers that are susceptible to the issue from exhibiting it.

The noise on cold start is caused by the phaser not locking properly on shutdown; once it receives oil pressure it operates normally so no limp mode or reliability issues.
