dropped her off this am, just heard back from the dealer. they said that there is a weep hole in the shock and some raptors from 2010-2014 may leak / weep some fluid on the shocks. any thoughts on this?

Here are a few more pictures from after I got home. This doesn't seem normal to me but I could be wrong.

Sorry I don't know how to rotate the pictures.

IMHO - that's ********. Why would it be on 'some' throughout the 5 production years? Mine never leaked over a 50k mile span, and was told if they ever had signs of leaking that they need to be serviced immediately to prevent further damage. What if they leak all of the fluid out, will they warranty it then? That oil being on the shafts will drag dirt and other contaminants across the seal and cause it to fail.

We had a hydraulic cylinder on a piece of equipment do that and it ended up being real expensive to repair. But, this is coming from the same company that says in the paragraph above the one you have highlighted that tells us that the front shocks are not adjustable. So take that for what it's worth I guess........

At 75K mine were leaking also. I have the 100k warranty and I took it to the dealer. I could tell by the way it drove they were both shot but the dealer said it was normal, needless to say Im not happy about it. I ended up going with ICON all around and the old Fox's are in the garage, I need to see if I can sell them.

I agree! i have the feeling they didn't even look at, it just pulled up that piece of paper that says if they fix it under warranty they could be charged and decided not to take the risk and say they are fine.

I cant tell a big difference in they way its driving right now. the only thing ive noticed is if hit a bump on a slight turn the front get a bit squirrelier then it used to.

Thats kind of what I was thinking, if they wont be replaced under warranty i will wait it out till they get worse then replace them with 3.0.

Let me know if you'd like me to push this up the line to your regional customer service manager, drj.raptor. All I need to make that happen is a PM from you with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.
